Kestrel she/her Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 i know there aren't any marvel things on netflix anymore; because of the new copyright things? but i know that hulu is picking most of them up. i know there's a lot of disney movies on there and a few of the dreamworks things. earth to echo is there.. i also see some batman movies. dude we could also watch the crappy horror movies they have too and sharknado and a lot of the star trek i mean there is stuff, but they've gone from having well-known flicks to their own content and more independent films/tv shows. let me check hulu we have the hunger games there, some more star trek, mad max (not sure if we'll do that bc of ratings? another thing we need to set up), there seems to be a lot more on hulu at first glance.
ThirdGen Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 The selection comes and goes based on contracts expiring and such. The big stuff tends to come back... usually.
Kestrel she/her Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) i know that they had to remove a lot due to something changing in their contract, but i'm not sure what they removed. i think it all comes down to what we want to watch, because there are lots of ways to find the movies. going to check prime now edit: okay so prime has a LOT but its all pay to rent, about $5 each movie. really didn't want to do that. ThirdGen Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 HBO's flexing some muscle now that they have a competing streaming service. There's one thing you've always been unable to find on Netflix streaming - the HBO shows. The other competitors like Amazon and Hulu hoard stuff occasionally, but they tend to ease up.
Kestrel she/her Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 that's the one thing we don't have here: HBO. I think we have someone's password though, because my dad gave one of his coworkers access to our Netflix, so we trade off. I did want to keep it to movies, but we can always to tv shows too if everyone's game for it.
Kestrel she/her Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 finally binge watching the last part of doctor who oh boy, i forgot how i loved 12. 1
Kestrel she/her Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 in band one day one of the seniors went up to the director and was like "Ms. M i have a question. WHAT ARE THOSSSEE????" and pointed at the director's bright pink shoes she straight up left the room, walked out of the building, and went to her car.
ThirdGen Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 (looks up the meme) I don't know what I can say about that except... THEN WHO WAS PHONE?
+Slowswift Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Movie night! Yessssss! I only have Netflix, though if we found a movie we all had...
Kestrel she/her Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 tfw you can't open your popcorn bag I think netflix would be easiest, because its something a lot of us have
Left he/him Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 tfw you can't open your popcorn bag I think netflix would be easiest, because its something a lot of us have Except for Aussies, they don't get Netflix kun. I might be down for this, not regularly, but once in a while.
Kestrel she/her Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Yeah, that's the only problem. Heh my brother is working on a project last minute so I was like "I, unlike your mother, fully support you doing this last minute. But I also just ate an entire bag of popcorn by myself so I might not be the best influence." 3
Zathoth Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I dont have netflix, but I do have a couple of most likely very illegal streaming sites. And David Blaine is either brilliant, or insane. Im not sure which. Probably both.
The Honor Spren she/her Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) This movie night sounds awesome! To bad I have social gatherings on Saterday . . . Spoilers for the squeamish Today, I took the ground up muscle of a bovine, stuck my hands into the nobby flesh, squeezing it together and mixing it with plant leaves and spicy substances. Then I charred it with flame and mashed it together, using the bones inside my mouth, in order to appease the rumbling spirits inside of me!! My mom taught me how to make hamburgers. TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 I found a very sinister-sounding cover of "Blank Space" recently. 2
Mistrunner Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 I found a very sinister-sounding cover of "Blank Space" recently. ...oh my. 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 ...oh my. It's amazing what some heavy guitars, a darker tone, and a touch of screamo can do for a song.
Delightful Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 (edited) Today, an Israeli finally worked out the true purpose of a selfie stick: to fight off a terrorist. Someone else fought off a terrorist with his nunchucks which he, y'know, obviously had because doesn't everyone have nunchucks? O_o Edit: uhhh I found that Blank Space hilarious. And I kind of like it. ................. ................. Edited October 13, 2015 by Delightful 2
