MrMistborn he/him Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Seems like there are a few aussies among us! I've been thinking up headcanon for all the Epics that are tearing up my homestate and hometown, and how many there are and such Melbourne gets 4 High Epics, for one, so they likely had lots of fun fighting each other endlessly for control of the city. Well it looks like i'm the only perthian here, which hardly surprises me, so I'll just take over Perth and be happy in my own little corner of the RP
MrMistborn he/him Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Two siblings, Jäger is their last name. Nighthound is an Epic so creepy and horrible that every player started wishing for his death enough that it basically became a meme. Lucentia is an Epic who complains so much that it's also become a meme. Also she's pretty horrible too. They're both Edge's characters. I've heard the name Nighthound before, and I am a little frightened to ask, but who is he? What's his powerset? Oh, and Edge, if we start up in Australia and Nighthound rears his ugly head in my lovely Perth, he WILL die. No more memes this time

(Though I still want to swap weather with pretty much any other country) Actually a country-wide RP could be quite interesting, with teleporters acting as a main focus and an important resource for waging war on other cities. Hmmmmm...

No more memes this time He's not particularly powerful (He's a High Epic but not on Steelhearts level or anything) it's more just his general character. And just everything he does and says. He's a healer with enhanced physical capabilities who can also create mind-controlled minions and gift them powers. And he currently owns three female Epics.
MrMistborn he/him Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Hmmmm indeed. But that's a topic for tomorrow! Edge, Voidus, blackhoof, it's been great chatting but now i shall rest my weary head. See ya! 1
Blackhoof Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 (edited) Especially since there are roughly the same amount of Epics in Australia as there are in California And we are so urbanised, there are really only a few big major cities in Australia where most of the population is centred. 1 Sydney New South Wales 4,840,628 20.61%2 Melbourne Victoria 4,440,328 18.90% 3 Brisbane Queensland 2,274,460 9.68% 4 Perth Western Australia 2,021,203 8.60% 5 Adelaide South Australia 1,304,631 5.55% 6 Gold Coast-Tweed Heads Queensland/New South Wales 614,379 2.62% 7 Newcastle-Maitland New South Wales 430,755 1.83% 8 Canberra-Queanbeyan Australian Capital Territory/New South Wales 422,510 1.80% *9 Australian Capital Territory Australian Capital Territorya 386,000 1.64% Most of the High Epics would statistically be concentrated in those five cities in those five separate and very far apart states. I think we're still using somewhat higher and non-canonical Epic numbers for the RP, since we started by assuming Newcago was a representative population which meant that High Epics were something like 1/100,000 and Epics were 1/1000 I think. Then Brandon went and canonized way lower numbers. EDIT: Missed by a factor of ten on both counts, whoops. Edited October 28, 2015 by Voidus 1
mail-mi he/him Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Sad! What happened? Just RL stuff creeping in? No clue; he just hasn't been on in a while. Well, she resurrects, so unless her weakness is in there, we can probably just say she resurrects somewhere else. Then if Silver ever wants to come back, Converter can as well, but she's out of the way in the event Silver doesn't want to return. I'm good with either option, so he's free to choose. That's what I was thinking.

Don't forget his almost magical ability to produce new clothes off screen. She doesn't really play into it, given that she’s in another location but you might want to add Mary to the count. Plus However things will turn out with Neverthere. Granted those two have the chance to be the Slave Status. :S Talking about creepy relationships with women, Kobold how long/far do you want to go with the Deathwish scene before Vondra shows up?

Oh, you mean the clothes part, for a second there you ment the second part. For the sake of halloween I shall wonder how that would go... Be honest, you just want to see Deathwish getting punched. Why not just have Autumn do it. 1

Well, Jack could certainly keep her safe, so sure go ahead and terribly escalate the situation. 1

Well, Jack could certainly keep her safe, so sure go ahead and terribly escalate the situation. "Happy" marriages, you mean. "Hi Deathwish!" "Ow! The hell was that for?" "It's how I greet you now." "That verse says to greet one another with a holy KISS, not a holy FIST!" "I gave her a new translation for her birthday." "Jack gives good gifts." 2

"That verse says to greet one another with a holy KISS, not a holy FIST!" "I gave her a new translation for her birthday." "Jack gives good gifts." I'm afraid those two might actually end up happy together. Not that any of us will get any from that. The chances that Deathwish is going to give her a reason for that punch is high enough it doesn't even have to be the regular greeting just to happen everytime they meet. 1
Mckeedee123 he/him Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I think Salems actually a day behind everywhere else so with luck we should get there a bit sooner than that In that case, is there anyone who still has a fight to do? If not, I'd like to introduce a character real quick and then maybe we can move on to late afternoon? And what is it that possesses you Australians to go to sleep at 7 AM? Are you nocturnal or something? 1

My bet is that it has something to do with the magical thing known as time zones. A fire Epic, but not like Scorch. He has a bit more finesse. Basically, he shoots streams of it from his palms, and can summon fireballs in the displaced air he makes when he moves suddenly (ie. he can punch someone and have his fist be all fire-y a la Mortal Kombat.) I still haven't decided on a personality (goofy or determined) or a name, but I will within the next few hours. Is it the same kind of black magic that flips the seasons around and turns the ground underneath kangaroos into trampolines?Or that makes people think vegemite tastes good? Blackhoof Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Australians all practice black magic. It is known
mail-mi he/him Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 And there is a much-needed Gregory post. Sorry for keeping you waiting for so long Twi...
MrMistborn he/him Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I love that a simple joke about having the Reckoners RP in Australia has genuinely evolved into an idea people are latching onto! Also, I think my epic is still pure and non-ponyfied. I shall continue my prayers for Morpheus's safety
Fatebreaker he/him Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 The more attention you draw to him, the more vulnerable he becomes. Working on a Sandman post, in which Fade is grouchy and Sandman discusses insecurity.
MrMistborn he/him Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 The more attention you draw to him, the more vulnerable he becomes. Oh, rust and ruin!
mail-mi he/him Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Oh, rust and ruin! I think you secretly want it to happen.

Are you nocturnal or something? I don't think so, there's a potential meetup between characters still in the works but a short timeskip probably works for the better on that front. Well I have been known to go to sleep at 7AM our time so I'm pretty nocturnal but not as a general rule. Most of us seem to actually like sunlight or something. (Weirdos)
