WayneSpren he/him Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Vorinism is based around the number 10. 10 Heralds, 10 Orders of Radiants. The Double Eye of the Almighty has 10 spheres in it. Also, on Scadrial, Pathist earrings have 10 rings. Is this a coincidence?
Oudeis he/him Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 They are 10 "interlocking" rings. It is on my list of questions to ask (if his tour comes to the East Coast) if the two symbols are the same/related. 1
king of nowhere Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 some numerology is based on the shards. also, ten is a recurring number in human culture, since we have ten fingers, so it is widely expressed in many cultures without being anything more than coincidence. aside from that, vorinism and pathism have nothing in common. 2
DreamEternal Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 (edited) Also, there are ten major shardworlds. Scadrial will build spaceships. Coincidence? I think not. Now I wished I wasn't on mobile so I could post a meme of the alien guy saying "Sazed". Edited August 20, 2015 by CognitivePulsePattern 2
Ari he/him Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 The only real reason they've used ten on Scadrial before was that they used to think there were ten allomantic metals. Interesting that the number 10 has become tied in with Pathism. ps: via Imgflip Meme Maker 1
ParadoxicalZen he/him Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 I thought the Ten Rings (Hail the Mandarin!) symbolism came from when the Inquisitor (Marsh i think) caused Saze's rings to become embedded in his stomach? 2
