Kobold King he/him Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Hey everybody. Just posting here to let you know that I'm not dead nor am I abandoning the RP. Just been a mite busy here lately. I'm working on posts. Just a heads up, a lot of City Guard effort today will be directed towards locating and summarily executing Quicksilver. 2
Edgedancer he/him Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Hey everybody. Just posting here to let you know that I'm not dead nor am I abandoning the RP. Just been a mite busy here lately. I'm working on posts. Just a heads up, a lot of City Guard effort today will be directed towards locating and summarily executing Quicksilver. About what I expected. With a large scale attack like that I'd imagine Epics to be send? One of the many things running around in my head because of MGS right now is what would an Epic have to do to be called "The Epic who sold the world" any idea?

One of the many things running around in my head because of MGS right now is what would an Epic have to do to be called "The Epic who sold the world" any idea? Meaning Deathwish, more likely than not. Well, at least Quicksilver doesn't have a lot of female officers that have been mentioned yet, though he probably does have more female prisoners. Not sure. Maybe something involving some sort of Cold War-style mutually assured destruction, where "the Epic who sold the world" gives in to the opposing side?

You may have marbles for eyes, but surely even you can see what a good catch I am!" But yeah. Deathwish will have some Guards on hand to make sure he doesn't go overboard, but he'll definitely be helping with these efforts. Areas that are being searched will be sealed off to prevent anyone from escaping, and Deathwish will be tasked with monitoring the situation from above to make sure everyone stays where they're supposed to. 1

I take it Autumn will be interviewing the new arrivals? Edited September 5, 2015 by TwiLyghtSansSparkles
Kobold King he/him Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 I take it Autumn will be interviewing the new arrivals? Yep. She's friendlier than Vondra, less strict than Arsenal, and infinitely less punchable than Reader. That makes her a valuable asset. 2

Maybe something involving some sort of Cold War-style mutually assured destruction, where "the Epic who sold the world" gives in to the opposing side? Probably, that guy is pretty hard to stop. Although, to be honest, the Slivers did get so little screen time, they could all the female and I wouldn't remember. "I never lost control." I just find that line interesting in the context of an Epic. Maybe I should just create an Epic PMC and be sone with it. Yep. She's friendlier than Vondra, less strict than Arsenal, and infinitely less punchable than Reader. That makes her a valuable asset. Autumn, the most valuable asset of all! We should just send her recruiting all the Epics. By the way, who's going next in the scene with her Jack and Reader? Oh, and how effective do you guys think Chloroform would be against Frostfire? 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 5, 2015 Author Posted September 5, 2015 Yep. She's friendlier than Vondra, less strict than Arsenal, and infinitely less punchable than Reader. That makes her a valuable asset. It's kind of sad when you can list "friendly and not very punchable" as skills on a resume and have prospective employers do this: Not judging, though.
Edgedancer he/him Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 The same could be said about "not an Epic" but that doesn't keep Autumn from including it in her resume.
Aonar he/him Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 (edited) Oh, and how effective do you guys think Chloroform would be against Frostfire? Frostfire? Just as effective as anybody else, seeing how he has no powers related to healing, or biological/chemical manipulation. It would be very hard to get him to inhale enough of it to put him out, but this is primarily because it would A: be very difficult to surprise him, (lifesense) so as to put something soaked in chloroform near his mouth/nose, and B: even if you succeeded in doing so, the effects do not kick in immediately (television and movies seem to present a highly inaccurate picture of it's effectiveness, based off the little research I've done; it can take upwards of five minutes of concentrated exposure for unconsciousness to set in), so there would be more than enough time for Frostfire to retaliate in a decidedly lethal manner, and remove the chloroform soaked item from his immediate vicinity. So, yeah, it could theoretically work, but I wouldn't call it a particularly bright idea, by any means. Why do you ask? ...Wait. Is there an Epic named Chloroform that I'm not aware of? (The capital has me confused, now... ) Edited September 5, 2015 by Aonar Faileas
Kobold King he/him Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Oh, and how effective do you guys think Chloroform would be against Frostfire? This might sound like a stupid question, but do you mean chloroform as in the substance, or an Epic I missed?

(The capital has me confused, now... ) Why yes, it's one of those Epic that only got one post and was then forgotten. If I remember right he got past a check point by dulling the awarness of the soldiers and i wondered how that would interact with his lifesense. (Or maybe I was just asking a random question because I don't like it if this topic goes quiet and am now just making stuff up. ) 1
Mailliw73 he/him Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Altermind post up. Sorry there's not much at all happening, but the Emma post should be much better when I get to it.

(The capital has me confused, now... ) Well it's been capitalized so it's an Epic now. Yeah chloroform's not as useful as movies portray it, tranquilizers are way more effective. But if needed Scribbler can dose anyone with anything really, ink is kind of hard to notice and/or do anything about.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 6, 2015 Author Posted September 6, 2015 By the way, Voidus, I've been wondering. If Scribbler were to start her "Epic tagging project" after Backtrack moved to The Dalles permanently, would she insist on tagging him, or would she decide he wasn't worth the effort? 1
Voidus Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 By the way, Voidus, I've been wondering. If Scribbler were to start her "Epic tagging project" after Backtrack moved to The Dalles permanently, would she insist on tagging him, or would she decide he wasn't worth the effort? Tempted to say she wouldn't bother but sadly her desire to control/murder all Epics is stronger than the desire everyone shares to make Backtrack feel terrible about everything. But if he brought MV with him she might very well try to murder them both on the spot after word of Deathwish's fight with Impact reaches her. 1

Voidus Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 What about the great and powerful Metronome? Well if Metronome the great decided to enter the Dalles then of course even if Scribbler wanted to tag or attack him she would fail stupendously due to being unable to match his phenomenal powers. She'd probably ask the guards to keep an eye on him as a potential Epic sympathizer, nothing more. 1
Voidus Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Action GuyPrimary Powers:Slight Breeze- Whenever wearing a long cloak a slight breeze always blows into Action Guy, causing his cloak to flap dramatically.Explosawesome- Whenever something nearby explodes no shrapnel will ever hit Action Guy nor will the force of the explosion ever impact him unless he needs to jump somewhere in which case it will give him a slight push.Non-lethal bullets- Any bullet or wound that does not strike his heart or head will prove completely inconsequential.Convenient cushioning- anytime Action Guy jumps from a building/cliff/helicopter a haystack, pool or truck containing pillows will conveniently appear to cushion his fall.OneLiner- Whenever someone talks for long enough, Action Guy will come up with a one line response and promptly summon a pistol and/or sword to dispatch the monologuer, no one will be able to do anything about this. 5

Voidus Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Strong female characters who aren't romantically interested in him? We should send in Autumn. Almost exactly what I have written down 2

Yeah chloroform's not as useful as movies portray it, tranquilizers are way more effective. How would that play with the soldiers Vapor giftes to, by the way? Altermind post up. Sorry there's not much at all happening, but the Emma post should be much better when I get to it. Well, you established the fan club, so that's enough for now. Strong female characters who aren't romantically interested in him? We should send in Autumn. Granted, we have a good deal of strong female characters tthat aren't as nice as her. 1

Well, you established the fan club, so that's enough for now. Granted, we have a good deal of strong female characters tthat aren't as nice as her. Well I would but I don't know any way to make it different to the other dozen or so Epics I've made who can knock people out Probably not much, she'd still want to kill Vapor himself and if they protected him or any other Epic she wouldn't feel too guilty about attacking them but otherwise she'd probably leave them be, understanding that they just wanted the power to protect the Dalles. Then again if it got far enough she might decide they're even worse than Epics since they chose to have the power, something she didn't have the option of.
Mailliw73 he/him Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Emma post up. I know it's all still night stuff, and I'll try to get her morning post up soon.
