Ring Magic (work in progress)

So I came up with a very basic magic system without a plot or anything to go with it, so I came here to get some feedback.

Ring Magic:

Anyone can make a ring and depending on how it's made, it can be used for different ways. The maker of the ring makes a ring for a specific person and they pour a bit of themselves into the ring. They put a memory into the ring and the trait or emotion they display during that memory is sucked it. They still remember that memory, but they forget how they felt. Then they give it to someone else and that person (and only that person) can access the memory and the feelings. For example, a couragering might be made to help someone overcome a fear. They put a memory of overcoming a fear of spiders inside a ring and give it to someone also with a fear of spiders. They access the memory and make it part of them, personalizing it and they also are no longer afraid of spiders. The material used affects the quality of storage, while the pattern determines the emotion.

This is definitely an interesting system. It's not a very flashy system, so it would take a backseat to some other feature within the story; plot, character interactions, location wonder, etc. It could also allow a very interesting look into the human psyche; after using a courage ring to defeat a big baddie, the protagonist must deal with the realization that the courage wasn't necessarily their own. Could they have defeated the baddie without the ring? Are they actually a courageous individual? Do they deserve all the praise they are receiving?

Is there any way The Ring could turn you invisible? Say, if a very powerful wizard made one?

 

EDIT: On another note, could the rings be used for bad purposes too? Say you pour memories of despair and loneliness into a ring, and slip it onto the finger of your mortal enemy. Could you pour your own memories of loyalty to yourself into the ring to make others loyal to you?

No, you can only do emotions. I'm thinking about being able to make a historyring, which anyone can access but it doesn't show emotion, though.

Still need feedback.

I like the idea.  Would it be possible to put your entire set of memories, all the way back to when you were born, into a ring?  Then whoever puts the ring on would in effect, become you, since a two people with the exact same experiences are the basically the same person.

Could the contents of a ring be altered? For example, extracting a bad memory, tailoring it to be worse for a particular person via their personal fears, then slipping it onto their finger for maximum effect?

Ostrich: Yes, but you'd lose all emotional memory. You cannot remember how it feels to be happy, sad, or anything. In fact, I'll make doing that lead to a phenomena where they can't feel emotions any more. 

Adamir: No, it can't be. And only the person whose memory it is can extract the memory.

Could someone extract their memories under guidance by someone who knows how to without having to learn to do so themselves.

Because I can just imagine murderers, thieves and other criminals extracting their feelings of something horrible they did so they don't have to deal with morality. And armies extracting rage at the enemy and giving it to the front lines. And spies exchanging these rings for ones containing loyalty to the enemy.
