Your resume is fantastic and someone somewhere will appreciate your genius and employ you. Thanks. I've applied to a few other places as well, and I've tried broadening my search to academic libraries too. Unfortunately, most of those want 2-3 years minimum of of university library experience, which I don't have. :/ and museums tend to want about the same.

Morbid, graphic humor like your baby joke is something that I'm not terribly fond of, and frankly not something I come to this thread to see. Therefore I gave it a downvote--one of the few downvotes I've given on this board. I like random. Keep your randomness clever and free of graphic violence, and I'll have nothing but upvotes for you. Just applied for a job in Red Oak, TX. Had to fight my brain threatening a "you're not going to get this, your resume is pathetic, just quit while you're ahead" panic attack every step of the way, but I applied! Good for you! Hope you get the job. I'll be praying. 2

Dat stupid Just....try filtering your thoughts before you hit Post. Imagine you're reading your post to whoever you happen to be sitting next to on the bus or some other form of public transportation. If there's a better-than-average chance they'd laugh, sympathize, or strike up a conversation with you, then go ahead and post it. If it's more likely this friendly stranger would give you an odd look and change seats without saying anything, you may want to edit it. There's an art to being random, but it mostly involves some forethought. 2

I made a Tumblr so I could follow a few book snark blogs without my phone tweaking out on me. The app wanted me to follow five blogs, so I typed in "pugs" and now I've followed every pug blog it's suggested I can't stop myself I think I need help. 1

The app wanted me to follow five blogs, so I typed in "pugs" and now I've followed every pug blog it's suggested I can't stop myself I think I need help. That's how it stops. One day you'll be too firmly embedded in Tumblr to get out, and you'll find yourself filling your own with pictures of Mollie and Bruno. You will tumble deeper and deeper into the Tumblr.

I've been doing a little research into deer (because...antlers), and have made a decision. At least one place in that world is going to have Chinese Water Deer instead. Why? Because instead of antlers, water deer have tusks that extend out of their mouths. This has led to them being referee to as vampire deer. I will have a character proudly display a pelt they skinned from one of those. "This? This is the pelt of a killer." 4
