Blackhoof Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 That was hilarious Too bad I don't really know who Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash and Soarin are I have updated my post in the Epic List thread, so it now has description of Argon looks, some data about Drainer and Summer. Now, I have questions about Epics and their weaknesses, and I think this is the best place to ask them, since you guys know everything there is to be known about Epics (only Brandon knows more I guess). If an Epic is forced to face his/hers weakness, that doesn't count as something that makes them free of the negative Epicness effects, right? Is there a name, analogical to Rending, for what Megan did, that she is now a good-Epic? If an Epic is faced with someone "in possession" of their weakness the two valid behaviors are: run away or try to kill that someone despite the fear caused by the weakness, right? If someone becomes a good-Epic like Megan, does their weakness is still their weakness? I mean, if Megan was to die in a fire now, would she be reborn or not? I'll add my voice to the already answered questions because yolo 1. I think it only counts if they expose themselves by choice. ie: Megan running into the burning building. 2. If you are referring to her huge burst of power after being resurrected, she was always boosted in that way after resurrecting, except more evil as well. Without the corruption, she got a temporary power-up without the extra hit of evil. 3. From what we've seen, usually the latter. Sourcefield, Mitosis and Steelheart all reacted with rage when their weaknesses were triggered, and went after the ones doing it with a vengeance. This makes sense- if whoever knows their weakness is allowed to live, then they are at risk and the information can spread to anyone- they would never sleep soundly again. Also note the extreme lengths Steelheart and Mitosis went to/would have gone to to keep their weaknesses a secret (extensive propaganda and threatening to wipe out Newcago on the off chance they had heard any of the songs, respectively). Fortuity, however, just ran- although his weakness itself was not triggered, just partially. Newton also ran, although she had lost any ability to fight David in the situation they were in. It seems like as long as an Epic CAN fight back, and use their powers partially or fully, they will usually do so. If not, they will run like the cowards they are 4. like everyone else said, we don't know.

There's a few others who could be redeemed further along in the plot but I think we decided to steer away from them for now until we have more canon on what exactly happens to a redeemed Epic, Firefight and Rendings gave us enough of a headache when we suddenly had to shoehorn mass murders for half of our characters. 2

The last time my cat Jasnah stayed inside overnight, she sat on my chest and kneaded her claws into my throat. Are pugs more well-behaved than cats are in this case? You could advise Big Al on useful applications of his power. 1

You could advise Big Al on useful applications of his power. They don't claw you, no, but they might try to sleep on your chest or as close to your face as possible. If it gets cold at night, Protector Pug might crawl under the covers, and Sam might wake up to see her pug sleeping under the covers with her head on the pillow. 1

Though I'll need to consul with Twi a little bit on what the Unicyclist will spend the night doing--he didn't really get involved in the fight like I expected him to. By the way, two questions: Is MV tired enough to go straight to sleep if ushered into a comfy truck? If so, does she snore?
