TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted July 24, 2015 Author Posted July 24, 2015 Yeah, it seems like it might be more efficient to just have no ruler at all.
Edgedancer he/him Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 (edited) I like the idea of no ruler. We've got three towns with clear rulers. Let's, when we do populate Eugene, have another Portland, one that's open for whatever waves of new players we get down the road. I thought Astoria was going well, just slow. I'm all for that idea. Slow is one way to put it. Doesn't help that Kipper and Sirce had to quit for RL reasons. Edited July 24, 2015 by Edgedancer
Mckeedee123 he/him Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 (edited) Then this Riftwalker wouldn't really be ruling the city, more like haunting it... Well, yeah. Yeah, it seems like it might be more efficient to just have no ruler at all. Just responding to Tyson. I don't care what it ends up looking like, really, I'm just interested in the idea of starting my own gang. I missed out big when you guys closed Portland before I showed up. Is there any way to write their characters out? I'd be down to join, though I might need help getting my characters to have the appropriate strength. Who else has characters? Tyson Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 My Epics would be eaten alive in somewhere like Portland It kills me to give them a prime invinciblity and anything close to a strong offensive power. Hence why I don't plan to keep Gunsmoke around much longer. Don't like my own character

I'd be down to join, though I might need help getting my characters to have the appropriate strength. Who else has characters? I have the Financier. Hurm….it might not be the most plausible or satisfying way to write their characters out, but they could convert to Sigularianism offscreen and spend the rest of their time in Astoria warning others about the dangers of the One Who Ate Nine! ….No? Yeah, didn't think so.

I'd be down to join, though I might need help getting my characters to have the appropriate strength. Who else has characters? Well all of them found someone to write their characters... although I'm not entirely sure how much they actually want to write said characters. If worst comes to worst, with maybe the exception of Winterspell, it should be relatively easy to get rid of said characters. Another problem is that Aonar, set the actions of his characters up as rather important (as in killing a hole gang and raising a giant evil collumn... in theory he didn't get to writting that post yet) but is pretty inactive. (I'm not sure if he's one of the people currently on vacation so that may be it.) I have the Financier. TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted July 24, 2015 Author Posted July 24, 2015 Talking about the Financier, what is he doing this morning. Would he have any duties that needed to be performed immediately? If not, he'd probably be lighting some votive candles to Savior Zero. If so….he'd probably light those candles first.

Edgedancer he/him Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Are there any supplies that would be prioritized on this particular morning? ...To confes the truth I did not create a detailed ledger counting the exact amount of Astoria's current supplies. I could probably come up with something if you want me to but until then you're free to choose yourself.

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted July 24, 2015 Author Posted July 24, 2015 But wait, there is more: If you say so, Arnold, though I'm still not sure how I'll manage to leave the rest of me on Earth. 1
Kobold King he/him Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 It seems lately the Question thread's moving at breakneck speed any time when I'm not around. So here are a few responses of mine: Celebrate me passing ten thousand posts? I'm flattered, but given most of those posts were me padding the Question thread, I think bloating this planning thread of ours to the utmost is the perfect celebration of our combined wordiness. While Lightwards could come to fit the clinical symptoms of Hidey's Disease, I'd hesitate to actually include the disease in the roleplay proper, for fear of coming across as making light of this serious subject. How long as Arnold Schwarzenegger been opposed to the Dark Alley? I am currently in the process of designing a Redlight pony. Anything I missed? 1

Also, only NINJAS can suffer from the Hidey's disease and he clearly isn't even close to being a ninja. Even before it was established. Good. Anything I missed? Did you get your chull to mars? Blaze1616 he/him Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 While Lightwards could come to fit the clinical symptoms of Hidey's Disease, I'd hesitate to actually include the disease in the roleplay proper, for fear of coming across as making light of this serious subject. Though I do think diseases and illnesses should be recognized as serious, I also think we should be able to make light of them. Otherwise they are just too grim, dark, and life ruining. Plus, giving characters disabilities makes them more interesting as they have to overcome the challenges involved. As far as making light of illnesses, here's my inspiration for the Cotard's Delusion character: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNcOZx1C3-U
Kobold King he/him Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Did you get your chull to mars? My chull? I knew chulls were valuable as pack animals, but I didn't know they were that versatile transportation-wise. Oh, and something else I missed. I very strongly agree that Eugene should be kept chaotic and rulerless, unless a player character manages to seize power over the course of the game. 1

Don't you know about the worldhopping space-chulls? And then gets blown up by Obliteration. 1

Yeah, didn't think so. well Sirce gave me Winterspell and his other Icesteel Keep Epics, and he gave Dragoon to Mail-mi. were discussing things at the moment, actually My chull? I knew chulls were valuable as pack animals, but I didn't know they were that versatile transportation-wise. Oh, and something else I missed. I very strongly agree that Eugene should be kept chaotic and rulerless, unless a player character manages to seize power over the course of the game. I agree completely. And probably most of the inhabitants of Portland and Eugene have already left for the three nicer cities, padding their population a bit.
