The Ninja Yodeler he/him Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 (edited) I kind of like this, and could see how it might work. The first hole I can see is related to Mistborn: preservation puts a bit more of itself into humans than ruin, and becomes a tiny bit weaker than ruin for having done so. This suggests that the power they had was finite. If they could have gained more power through belief, this tiny offset of initial balance wouldnt have mattered at all. But remember, people on Scadrial seriously feared the Mists. It was basically only Mistborn who had zero fear of the mist (as even a lot of metalborn feared them, if just slightly). So by I AM A STICKs theory, it does make sense why Ruin was more than a little stronger the Preservation after he Invested himself into the people. Oversleep Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 I cannot recall any active worship of Endowment...
Stormgate he/him Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 (edited) Shattered fragments of the power of Adonalsium.Okay. What's Adonalsium?Edit: I know the basics, but what else? We really don't know much. Also, the Idrians worshipped Austre, which is likely a pseudonym for Edgli or Endowment. (Same thing. Yay WoB!) Edited January 11, 2016 by Stormgate
Ari he/him Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Okay. What's Adonalsium? Edit: I know the basics, but what else? We really don't know much. Also, the Idrians worshipped Austre, which is likely a pseudonym for Edgli or Endowment. (Same thing. Yay WoB!) All Brandon has said about Adonalsium outside of Hoid's monologue in WoK is that it's "the power of creation."
