"Hypno" as a prefix descends from the Greek "Ὕπνος," meaning "sleep." The word was often used in reference to the god Hypnos, the god of sleep. He was the brother of Thanatos and Morpheus, the gods of death and dreams respectively. In the context of both the Pokemon and the Epic, the prefix "Hypno" refers to the practice of hypnosis, in which a sleep-like state is caused in a patient to cause the affected individual to become more open to the power of suggestion. Psychologists use the practice to heal mentally troubled patients, and some magicians include hypnotic techniques in their acts. And for the record, Hypno is Pokemon #097 according to the Kanto Pokedex, and is a Psychic type Pokemon with the special abilities Insomnia and Forewarn. Work is getting pretty busy guys, so I might not be around as much the next while. I will definitely be taking about a week hiatus starting on Sunday. A great deal of that would depend on how much Vondra has scolded her beforehand, so it could go from her being playful or sitting somewhere in a corner and crying.
