After reading tGS I got into Brandon's work and read through Mistborn, Warbreaker and Elantris in about 4 months. I snatched up tWoK as quickly as possible too. Maybe it will be so awesome that it will end the world, like the Mayans predicted. There is another novel set on Scadrial(the world of Mistborn) coming out sometime this year.
