Has anyone ever asked Brandon what the canon name of a full Feruchemist mistborn is? I came up with one the other day, that I happen to like, whether or not it fits very well, Harmonizer. What do you guys think?

Lord Ruler indeed.

I'd guess if we ever seen another, it won't be until the third trilogy. May as well just refer to the single example by his own name until then. :P

Lol @Phantom.

I wouldn't necessarily go with Harmoniser - it implies a link to Harmony, when Harmony is Ruin and Preservation. Feruchemy is balanced by itself, add Allomancy and you're leaning more towards Preservation. To balance out you'd need something more of Ruin, like Hemalurgy on top :P

I guess maybe something like a Fullborn (if there even is a name for it).

No, there's no canonical name yet. And surely a Harmonizer would surely just be someone with an even mix of Preservation and Ruin, which is just a feruchemist.

I tend to use Feruchemistborn but yeah, nothing canonical.

I tended to use freuchemistborn too, then I thought of this. And I know it implies a balance of Preservation and Ruin, but I like the sound of it. Fullborn would make sense too

Fullborn, to me, sounds too much like we a feruchemist mistborn combo is normal, when it isn't. Though I think that the word twin will be used. Which begs the question, can you be a mistborn and also be a ferring, or a feruchemist and misting?

I'd assume via lerasium you could.

Were there ferrings in the Final Empire era? Or were all Keepers full feruchemists, with no one else having any abilities? I don't think that's ever covered in the books.

Ferrings only started showing up after the Terris people who survived the Final Ascension started interbreeding with the other survivors which diluted the power. Mostly true, but technically false.

Later, after Harmony's Final Ascension, Mistborn became unheard of as Allomancy's power continued to degrade. The Terris people also interbred with the survivors of the Final Empire, which combined with the slaughter of all living Feruchemists at the time left Feruchemy also diluted, and so Ferrings began to appear.

Edit: Okay, I was a little bit wrong. There were some before, but they were very rare. Relevant Link

Also Hoid is carrying around a bead of the stuff and could spike a ferring's drink with it for kicks and giggles.

Ah, thanks, hadn't seen that quote before.

Yeah, figured they were incredibly rare even then.
