Voidus Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Not sure but I think my post count has been stuck for the last few days, it hasn't moved from 947 and I'm sure I've made a few posts since I checked it last.
Chaos he/him Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 On my screen, as of me seeing this, you are at 950. Does it still say 947 on your computer?
Joe ST he/him Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 ...Strange, his actual profile says 949 active posts....
Voidus Posted March 3, 2013 Author Posted March 3, 2013 (edited) Yeah sorry, I must have just mis read it before, because it does seem to be working fine now. False alarm I guess. EDIT: Yeah it's just a bit of a time delay, it's not stuck. Edited March 3, 2013 by Voidus
Chaos he/him Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Thaaat is really bizarre that there's a time delay for you. I've never seen that before.
Senor Feesh Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 It's probably something to do with browser caching. Unless it's only happening to Voidus' counter, in which case I have no idea.

It's not browser caching, more likey to be IPboard caching user profile pages to reduce load on the database or something.
Chaos he/him Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 I've never seen that happen either, Joe. However, do note that the "active post" count on one's profile page is off a little bit from the post count on topics. I believe this is because the latter includes comments and other things on non-forum related posts, whereas the one in the profile page does not, for whatever reason. All's good.
Elisheva Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Question that I wasn't sure where to ask... how do reputation points work? Is there a chart that shows the levels and what you have to do to attain each one? I'm not even sure how to earn the points at all. Thanks!
Windrunner he/him Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Do you see the little green and red arrows in the bottom right of other people's posts? If you like what they say you can hit the green one and it will give them a rep point. If you don't like what they say, hit the red one and it will subtract a point. Rep levels are certain numbers of rep points. You get a cool little title when you're in a certain category. If you keep going on, you'll probably hit Awakener or Misting and so on. The distance between rep levels increases for the higher levels. For example, to get to the first rep level it takes ~5 points, but to get from the second highest to the highest takes ~500. I honestly can't remember specifically what happens at what level, but if I figure it out, I'll post it for you. Also, you can always make a new topic if you have a question. Welcome to 17th Shard! 1
FlashWrogan he/him Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 (edited) I honestly can't remember specifically what happens at what level, but if I figure it out, I'll post it for you. My obsessive compulsive self took over and I did a survey of the forum members: 1665: Adonalsium 274-476 Hero of ages 132-220: Shard 102-122: Splinter 77-97 Sliver 64-73 Worldhopper 50-62: Knight Radiant 40-49: Full Shardbearer 32-38 Shardbearer 24-31: Elantrian 17-23: Mistborn 10-16: Misting 5-9: Awakener -1 to 4: Trainee -4 to -2: Lamespren I couldn't fill in all the gaps. Maybe administrators have a handy list somewhere . . . Edit: Just being OCD and filling in a couple numbers. Edited April 3, 2013 by FlashWrogan 1
Rubix he/him Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Maybe administrators have a handy list somewhere . . . Oh, we do. But it's a secret handy list. 1
Chaos he/him Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 By knowing some things about the number 16 (and powers of it), you can perhaps guess where the cutoffs are.
