I love Mr. Mime.

So, out of curiosity, what is the difference between the WHOOC thread and the Fanfics of Oregon thread in practice? What kind of shorts should go in which thread?

Um....whatever you say the difference is? When I started the WHOOC thread, the FoO thread was practically dead, so I admittedly wasn't thinking about it. I guess since the FoO thread is mostly pony comics, crack shipping, and characters who won't/haven't appeared in-game; while the WHOOC thread is primarily what-if scenarios with existing characters, I guess it makes the most sense to continue on that way.

Ah, that makes sense. So a story about what would have happened if Lightwards didn't have a zombie limit would go on the WHOOC thread, but a story about the life and times of the Lord of the Silverfish would go on FoO?

Sounds right to me.

I thank Venture Mistborn for drawing my attention to the fanfiction thread, so that I could enjoy all the pony comics that I missed.

There were some healthy lols...

You are welcome.

Actually I had him looking like this

Of course it is animaniacs, what else did I expect?

The response to the Springfield pitch did give me an idea. What about a thread that is set in a small town in Oregon, and it has a sort of old western movie-type feel. It wouldn't really be a major thread, and there would be very few Epics, but I think it would be a cool concept. All of the Epics would be classified as lesser Epics (powers on par with Curveball), and there would typically just be one in the town at a time, controlling the vanillas. Then, periodically, other Epics would come in and challenge the current one for control of the town.

Does that sound at all interesting?

That actually does sound nice, an opposite to Astoria, low numbers of Epics with low powers, perhaps trying to hide their existence from Epic of Stronger ability?

"Me? An Epic? Whaaaat? No, buildings just randomly blow up when I walk past them, honest!"

I sorta meant they're trying to hide the town from High Epics. They don't want someone of Steelheart's level coming in and taking down the lity kingdom they've built.

You could even have some vanillas bluffing at being a low leveled epic in order to gain prestige which could create some interesting dynamics.

I have plenty of ideas on that front if anyone needs any.

Yeah I really like that idea too, although I probably wouldn't participate since I'm in literally every thread so far so I should probably give that one a miss.

Nice Mouldbreaker post, probably wise that he doesn't tell people just what it is he can transmute things into. It's dangerous and all but if you tell Epics that your power is infinite jello they're probably not going to take you seriously :P

He's actually convinced himself that it's super masculine because they kill ponies to make it.

<_<

Because of his desire to murder ponies I move that Mouldbreaker be immediately placed on the ATTD list.

(Congratulations)

Sweet!

(What is the ATTD list?)

I'm assuming Nighthound is on it.

Motion carried, if it will keep him from sharing his most likely sadistic opinion of pugs. :o
