That isn't how it works, like, no. The surge of Adhesion has irs name because it main use is the full lashing, but it is actually the surge of air pressure. Giving a gravitatinal pull to an object is gravitation.

Reverse lashing might be both, it is adhering a gravitational pull to an object.

Adhesion only affects local air pressure and generates vacuums.

Not saying that reverse lashing is Adhesion, but we don't realy know if the surges of Adhesion and Gravitation are limited to the lashings.

I don't believe they're limited to them, but I do feel like they are characterised. I hope there are other uses (that are presumably more specialised or adept) than just these three Lashings, but at the same time, changing the gravitation of one object relative to another, sticking two things together, and changing the gravitational point of an object to you (or another object?) seems the three basic moves of these Surges.

Sure you could do variations on them but I feel like they would probably be either combinations of or similar to these three Basic Lashings. However the name Basic Lashings gives me the hope that there are other, Advanced Lashings  :P  that Kaladin will learn from a wise teacher he will meet in a remote mountain village.

However at this moment the possible concepts that these Advanced Lashings could entail are beyond my imagination.

While I know you are joking about the teacher in the mountains, I believe there are advanced "lashings", like perhaps using Adhesion to lower air resistence while flying, or suddenly changing air pressure to create an explosion of expanding air in a reverse full lashing?

I'm wondering if an Inverted Reverse Lashing is possible. Instead of causing your (object) to Gravitationally attract things, have it Gravitationally repel things?

Also, could you do a Combined Lashing? A Reverse Full Lashing for example, where you make (object) gain a Gravitational Pull and Adhere to anything it touches (like your opponents armor)

We should start a new thread about possible advanced uses for surges and return this thread to whatever it was supposed to be about, shouldn't we?
