The Knights Awkward

"HEY MISTRUNNER!"

[Mistrunner]

"I'M HERE!" Mistrunner said, coming through the back door with an armful of strange-looking victuals. "I was out back collecting food. Did you know we had a garden? That grew steak?" She turns to face Rielle. "You are accepted into the Order of the Knights Awkward. Serve honorably and well."

Jasper descends from his perch in the rafters to whisper something to Mist. She thinks for a moment. "What synonym of group are we? I believe we were originally termed a guild, though we're mostly called an order. It sounds more professional."

"We are an out-of-order-guild!" Carola shouts, standing triumphantly, bookie in hand.

I like th sound of that. It's creative.

*Curtsies* I shall do my best. *Coughs and whips out a hankie* Wait.... we have steak??

"Well, actually yes.  And also the infinitely awkward power of awkwardness, so basically, anything that can be linked to awkwardness."

[Sunbird she/her]

Sunbird perks up at the mention of steak. "You mean like when a woman goes to a restaurant with someone of the male gender--doesn't matter if it's her boyfriend, father, brother, or what--and she orders a steak and he orders, like, a pasta dish, and when the food comes out the waiter just assumes that the steak must be for the man? That's totally awkward." She shudders and adds in a whisper, "That's why I usually go to dinner alone."

[Assassin in Burgundy he/him]

The doors swung open, and a pale Shin man walked in, wearing a deep dark red cloak. He swung his gaze around the hall, and his eyes settled on the ruler of this dominion, the noble Mistrunner. Immediately, he went down on one knee, bald head bowed, red cloak fluttering.

"My liege," the man said. "I am the Assassin in Burgundy. I have ridden over the Misted Mountains of Shinovar, through the Pits of Hathsin, and around the great city of Elantris, which, though fair, pales in comparison to you and your guild.

"I seek entrance to the Knights Awkward, the sacred order of a bunch of people who sit around talking about books they've read five billion times."

"Speak the oaths, Burgundy Assassin," Mistrunner called.

The Assassin in Burngundy rose from his kneel. "Books before friends. 17th Shard before the real world. Release dates before birthdays. I will speculate even if there is nothing to speculate upon."

Mistrunner nodded regally. "The words are accepted. Rise, Sir Knight.

The Assassin in Burgundy nodded his thanks. "Books before friends. It is the task to which I am now sworn."

Mistrunner pursed her lips. "Books before friends, Awkward."

Lavala comes and picks up her words to respell, "I think you torally could!"(cause i'm too lazy to edit)

Ant walks over to Mistrunner. "I'm bored," he said. "Can I organize a quest? Do you have anything that needs to be found, or destroyed, or just awkwardified?"

[Allomancy she/her]

"THIS ISNT AWKWARD AT ALL. I MEAN THE FACT THAT I HAVE BEEN SITTIMG HERE FOR MONTHS NOW IN A COMA!" Ally yells, her eyes snapping open, her first time talking in months.

"May I join the Knights awkward?" Lizzy inquires, bringing a plate full of bookies,

"Books before friends.

17th Shard before the real world.

Release dates before birthdays"

She recites.

"Heck, since you brought the bookies, we'd even name you second in command!" Ralinean, his spren, piped up happily.

Lizzy's eyes widen. "Shouldn't you ask Mistrunner before you do that? I heard she's in charge." She said.

Nah, second in command. It's okay to do things without Mistrunner approving, all part of being awkward

Ally grabs a bookie off of Lizzy's plate. She shoves it in her mouth, and starts chewing.

Lizzy looks at Ally with horror. Then she realizes she would have done the same. She grabs a bookie off her own plate, and shoves it in her mouth, and begins to chew. She spits it out Ito a garbage can. "Bleugh! It was a Sadeas bookie. It started out a bit good, not delicious, then... Ugh."

Carola stops eating mid bookie. "Ew, it's Amaram!"

She grabs another bookie to wash out the taste, "storm it! Straffic Venture!"

She begins shoving plateful of bookies into her mouth, then spits them out, "ew, all these charcharacters don't mix that well. Quick, someone get me a Kaladin bookie. . . And a Shallan while you're at it!"

Lizzy tosses a Shallan bookie, a Kaladin bookie, and a Shalladin ship bookie to Carola. "Here!" She said, "and I added the ship bookie, since I figured that if you like both bookies, you should have the ship bookie. " she pauses. "Though, I know not everyone likes the Shalladin bookie. Not to be confused with the Shadolin."

She munches on both ship bookies. "I personally like both".

[Nashan’Elin he/him]

"I still have one of those Sadeas-Odium 'Sodium' bookies from a while ago! Do you want some of those?" Nashan holds the bookie telekinetically, since direct skin contact can cause third-degree burns.

[KnightRadiant she/her]

Niara, the Radiant from before, perks up. "That sounds interesting... Nah, I'd prefer a Shadolin ship bookie. Adolin is going to need someone like Shallan after recent events. A Shalladin ship would be really awkward. Wait... Ah storms. I'm way too new at this"

[Mistrunner]

Mistrunner bursts in through the front door, carrying several large brass instruments. "I'm back!" she says, panting. "I'm so sorry I've been gone so long. This happens a lot, doesn't it? Horribly awkward."

Mistrunner, stunned for a few moments at the fabulocity of the Assassin in Burgundy's outfit, takes a minute to respond. "With those robes, I think you can do whatever you want, to be honest," she says finally. "So... fabulous..."

She snaps out of it a second later. "Oh, you were wanting something to do, @antgrgmn? I found these outside the door!" She drops the instruments. "I'm not sure what to do with them. We can form a band, or maybe find out why they were at the top of a mountain outside the Awkward Fortress." She grabs a baritone and tries to play a B flat. It's horribly out of tune, what with being at the top of a snowy mountain and all.

Lizzy stares into space. "Wait... We are on a snowy mountain? I came from a rainforest into this building..." She pauses, her eyes widening. "Wait, maybe it's interdementional travel... Did anyone else  come from a different environment into this building?"
