Mistrunner mishears 'Valinean' as 'Valjean' and begins dramatically reenacting Les Mis.

Ally walks into the room, a look of enjoyment on her face. " ah, good. This place hasn't changed too much since I was here last, the good ol Knights awkward. Boy have I missed this place."

"Actually," chimes in Maggie, "I think they'd both explode your head off." Then she looks around a bit more. "Oh. Conversation has moved on. Riiiiigggghhht. Well, I'll just . . ." She slouches lower behind Secret History.

[Sunbird she/her]

Sunbird begins beaming as soon as she hears Les Mis music and immediately launches into a warbling rendition of "Bring Him Home."

"if I diiiiiiiieeeeeeeee, let me diiiiiiieeeeeeeee! " Ally *sings* at the top of her lungs, joining sunbird. She coughs, and her voice gives out.

"LETTTT HIIIIIIM LIIIIIIIIIIIIVE," Mistrunner belts, singing over the top of Nashan's moaning.

 

Jasper sighs, walks over to Allomancy and struggles to make himself heard over Mistrunner and Sunbird. "Welcome back, Ally, on behalf of everyone who is currently busy butchering a perfectly good song."

Carola strains her voice to proves she is the loudest. Lavala assists in this process, making her more llud, but at the same time it's worse, so it ends up being more awkward. *score*

[Nashan’Elin he/him]

Nashan yells at the top of his lungs, and pulls out a pair of headphones and puts them on. Cranking the volume high enough to incapacitate an old woman, he starts playing the nice, soothing sounds of hard rock into his brain.

"I AM NOT THROWING AWAY MY SHOT!" Maggie blushes. "Oh. Um. Wrong musical. Bye again."

[Kit]

"NOOOOOO!!!! THEY'VE FOUND US!",Kit shrieks, diving for cover behind the nearest bookshelf. She begins to barricade herself with any and all objects within reach. After completing her not so sound proof fort, she curls into a ball and begins to sing to herself,

"Something has changed within me,

Something is not the same,

I'm through with playing by the rules of someone else's game,

too late for second guesses,

too late to go back to sleep, it's time to trust my instincts,

close my eyes, and leeeeaaaap...." At this she springs from her self prescribed confinement and musically screams," IT'S TIME TO TRYYYY DEFYYYING GRAVITY!!!" she draws a few strange and ancient looking symbols in the air before rising a few feet in the air and then disappearing entirely.

"LOATHING! UNADULTERATED LOATHING! FOR YOUR FACE, YOUR VOICE, YOUR CLOTHING! LET'S JUST SAY..."

Ripple pauses dramatically.

"I LOATHE IT ALL!"

[Alomantisist he/him]

"Well this seems to be a storm a musicals. I will respectfully abstain." Says Al, burying his face into His book.

Carola looses all the air in her lungs, then faints.

[Mistrunner]

Mistrunner is torn. She cannot navigate this complex storm of musicals that she loves all of. Which does she sing? What does she do?

 

She feels a little late to the party. But wait-

 

There is only one choice. The mashup.

 

"WAIT FOR IT!

WAIT FOR IT!

 

I AM THE ONE THING IN LIFE I CAN CONTROOOOOOOL

I AM INIMITABLE, I AM AN ORIGINALLLL

I AM NOT FALLING BEHIND OR RUNNING LAAAAAATE

I AM NOT STANDING STILL, I AM LYING IN WAAAAAAAAAIT (wait, wait, wait)!"

 

She then dramatically leaps up and sings, "SO IF YOU CARE TO FIND ME, LOOK TO THE WESTERN SKY! AS SOMEONE TOLD ME LATELY, EVERYONE DESERVES A CHANCE TO FLY! Even if there's only- ONE DAY MOOOOOOOORE!"

 

She then keels over, having used more air than was in her lungs.

Nashan crawls over to Mistrunner and Carola, and slaps cadmiummind medallions onto their arms. He wanders away.

Carola inhales deeply. Mmmmm.... fun!

[Mistrunner]

Mistrunner whispers "Nashan doesn't hesitate, he exhibits no restraint. He takes and he takes and he takes and he... keeps... winning... anyway..." Out of breath, she collapses and Jasper lets out a sigh of relief. "Is this over, then?" he asks hopefully.

Opal zips up to Jasper. "Yes Mr. Frodo," she says. "It's over now."

[Dustbringer12 he/him]

Suddenly, Jeirid bursts in, "AAGONYYY, FAR MORE PAINFUL THAN- oh wait, we're done.  That was Awkward."  He opens a book and buries himself back in WOK.

[jaimeleecee she/her]

Jaime braces herself to enter the room, she repeats the words in her head again and again to ensure no mistakes.  She peers into the room and sees Mistrunner sitting in the corner with her nose in a book.  With an attempt at gracefulness, she begins to cross the room with her head held high saying, "I present myself to you, Mistrunner, in the hopes of being accepted into the the great order of the Knights..." Her grace is shattered as her feet get tangled in her skirts and she stumbles to the floor at Mistrunner's feet.  Jaime's cheeks begin to redden, still sprawled on the floor she blurts out, 

"Books before friends.

17th Shard before the real world.

Release dates before birthdays."

And proceeds to faint from her embarrassment.

Noticing the newcomer, Nashan tosses a bookie at Jaime. "I hope that's not a Sodium one!" he yells

Jaime awakes, confused and covered in crumbs.  Part of her thinks it was all a bad dream, until she realizes she's still on the floor, "I definitely blew it, just kill me" she mutters to herself.
