Comatose he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Autumn will not be anywhere in the vicinity when Vondra confronts her. He doesn't want to risk her kidnapping Autumn and porting out of town in a fit of rage. Glamour isn't really the problem, it's more general busy-ness, tired-ness, and a general distracting environment that have kept me from writing anything of late. I'll try to get something up soon. :/ No worries! I was just making sure. As long as we get that part done before moving on to the next day, personally I am in no hurry.
Kobold King he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Do you want to write a post of Vondra sending Autumn away, before I have her port in? Yes. I'll try to get that written ASAP. By the way, I'd rather wait until the next game day to introduce Vapor Snake. I just think it might be a bit too confusing to put it in with everything else that's happening at the moment.
Edgedancer he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 It's not a terribly difficult decision. For anyone. Except Backtrack, because we all know that in his case, the cute young woman would probably be a spy for the Lord of the Silverfish. By the way, is there anything he would've mentioned in previous counseling sessions with Autumn that she might be considering as she goes to evaluate him? I'm thinking she already respects him for asking the City Guard to activate his weakness and imprison him if he ever went off the rails, so anything he told her shed be evaluating in a positive light. If he told her anything that might be pertinent to his current situation—things that bother him when the corruption gets to be too much, for example—she'd be looking for those things to see whether or not he's fit for duty. Not much she could tell from simply talking with him across a plexi plate. Just his general attitude and if he's trying to hide his face in a way that seems compulsive. Yes. I'll try to get that written ASAP. By the way, I'd rather wait until the next game day to introduce Vapor Snake. I just think it might be a bit too confusing to put it in with everything else that's happening at the moment. Alright, if you say so. Vondra's the one that has to give the order anyway.
Kobold King he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Alright, if you say so. Vondra's the one that has to give the order anyway. If there was a strong demand for doing it immediately I'd have Vondra give the order. I'm not exactly in charge or anything.
Edgedancer he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Who's Vapor Snake? Vapor Snake is a new Dalles city-guard Epic i just recently came up with and he is Autumn's new love interest a gifter that is currently in solitary confinement to starve off the corruption. If there was a strong demand for doing it immediately I'd have Vondra give the order. I'm not exactly in charge or anything. It isn't really that much of a time difference, so I have no strong feelings either way.

Shattered he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Okay, so, Sunspot is still just kinda standing there...
Edgedancer he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Okay, so, Sunspot is still just kinda standing there... I am afraid that none of my characters would realistically get by him right now. Shiny Sparkle will teleport straigh to her destination and Vapor is in prision.
Comatose he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Yeah, Brandon is under arrest (I think?) and not really likely to approach strangers at the moment, and Taylor is chatting with Glamour, so I'm out too.
Edgedancer he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Out of interest, who here has actually read everything related to the RP?

Edgedancer he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 *raises hand* Yay, I am not alone. All locations and every word written here in the Questions, I may not remember all of the insanity but I can tell that it traumatized me. 1
Kobold King he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Out of interest, who here has actually read everything related to the RP? And I've only skimmed large portions of Astoria. I've read everything related to Portland and The Dalles, though.
Comatose he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Out of interest, who here has actually read everything related to the RP? I haven't read the Questions from before I joined (though I have page through some), and I haven't gone through all of the epic profiles in the Epics of Oregon thread. Since I've joined, I have read every page of every question thread though, and I've read a good amount of Epic Profiles. For plot threads, I've read all of The Dalles, Astoria, and Corvallis. I have not read the OOC or Calamityville threads, and have only read the last few pages and first few pages of Portland, but have been keeping up with Portland since I got here. I AM someone who likes to read most things, so I might get around to reading all of Portland eventually, but given its length, it might take some time for me to get around to it. I HAVE read almost every thread on MBI. Does that count for anything?

By the way, a little hint for everyone my last RP post had forshadowing, even some that was intentional and not out usual hindshadowing.

That will only turn into a bother for all of us.”
Edgedancer he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 * whistles nonchalantly * You only get half a point.
Shattered he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 (edited) Wow, I just realized that it would suck for the entire planet if Sunspot and Obliteration became friends... Edited May 25, 2015 by Shattered Logic

Mailliw73 he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Why is this not a setting yet? An epic fighting ring (likely run by a more powerful epic forcing less powerful ones or paying them to fight) could be a great setting, especially for people who are less interested in plot and mostly just want to write about epic battles. Don't get me wrong, the marital idea is fun too... I guess. I believe it was the Gleeman who brought it up in early April, IIRC. On that note I've wanted to set up a town with my OP Epic Soulcaster in charge and he can remove peoples consciousness from their bodies so he could let Epics fight it out on an astral plain without unnecessary death since I think any Epic dictator wouldn't just kill of Epics for sport. Ooh, I like that! Maybe there could be an Epic that can manipulate dreams who never was powerful, but when combined with Soulcaster, he became a referee for the battles and is the one responsible for designing the arenas, and if he is bribed or if Soulcaster wants someone to win, he'll turn the arena to their favor. Right, what do we still need in every location? Portland: Wrapping up the MEE attacks. Dalles: MV and Backtrack getting back to Portland and Shiny Sparkle getting yelled at by Vondra. (Senoid hasn't said anything about team Paladin engaging her since I asked him a couple days ago, so I suppose she's free to return to the office, Kobold, Twi what do you say?) and Arsenal inspecting the new Epics in the clinic. Astoria: Some wrap up on my end and Winterspell dealing with Dustdevil. Corvallis: Ending the Converter fight. Anything I missed? I need to wrap up Freq's story, but that won't be too hard, and actually, Shattered Logic and McKeedee, I think he and Canis could run into both of your Epics if you'd like them to join him. Aonar and I also need to wrap up Edgerunner and Frostfire, but that's simple enough. One note though: Remember how I said that I'd be gone for three weeks of June? Well, that starts next Monday. So anything I can't get done before Sunday will likely have to wait a while. I can set up stipulations for a few of the characters and maybe designate a couple of substitute writers for a couple if necessary. But I probably won't miss a whole bunch of the story, considering our timing. Out of interest, who here has actually read everything related to the RP? Me! 1
Edgedancer he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Wow, I just realized that it would suck for the entire planet if Sunspot and Obliteration became friends. On a general note every friend Obliteration makes is bad news. You could say that. I am not sure if I would call it a plan. Actually, I'm not sure how long it will be secret or if it will ever come up at all. Just a detail you could notice but none of you did. I'll actually be gone for a little while starting June as well. Granted only three days and not weeks but still. We'll miss you but from a practical standpoint it shouldn't be a problem, as long as you manage to wrap up the day. Otherwise there may be catchup.
Mailliw73 he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 We'll miss you but from a practical standpoint it shouldn't be a problem, as long as you manage to wrap up the day. Otherwise there may be catchup. That's what I figured. I'll try to wrap up Frequency today if Mek and Logic are alright with that. I'll talk to Aonar about the Edgefire scene. And if we can get Hypno's rolling, that'd be great. I think everyone else is done and none of my characters have anything super pressing to do in the morning. Flashpoint needs to go to the dealer, but that can wait a bit.
Aonar he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 (Not going to bother quoting, but on the topic of days ending:) Like Maill said, all I've got left in the Dalles is a post or two of Frostfire/Edgerunner, and maybe introducing Mirrorveil to Frequency/one of the new Epics. (Although this could just as easily come in the morning.) Kipper, Tulir and I have come to a decision on Azrael, Vires, Nightshade and Co, and we're just going to skip the current scene. (For now, anyways.) I'll post the Overwatch fight scene sometime today or tomorrow, with something to establish where they'll all be when the morning comes, and then we should be good for whatever happens.
Blaze1616 he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 On the topic of a new location, I am of the opinion that we need one, potentially two. I like the idea of a minimal plot, maximum action thread, as it provides a good place for newcomers to join if they don't want to put in the effort to read the entirety of a thread to know what's happening. I also think we need a new location for mid-tier Epics. This would remove some of the pressure from the Dalles and could provide a more action oriented location than Corvallis. As for the city, it sounds like Salem is the chosen one? I saw Eugene mentioned, and I was going to suggest avoiding it for now, as it's the last "large" city in Oregon to pick from that is relatively isolated from the others. Comatose, have you heard anything from Venture Mistborn? I saw you mentioned that you PMed him, in addition to my post, and I'm beginning to feel a bit guilty since he has yet to respond. I really didn't intend to sound abrasive or insulting.
Mailliw73 he/him Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Kobold, would Vondra have certain restrictions on the Springfield bar? Would he limit how much or what types of alcohol was served? And would he maintain the 21+ rule?
