Eric Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I'm curious, how would the Bendalloy bubble help you to actually defeat the Inquisitor? A bloodmaker would need quite a lot of stored health if the only trick he has is fast healing; what strategy do you have in mind? I don't know that spikes would be hidden from the Inquisitor's vision. Might not be the ace you're envisioning... 1
Observer Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 How about a Nicrorioter? Brandon hinted that Nicrosil can help compound allomancy, so I'll just mindcontrol the sucker. If I get a spike, I'll take another zinc.
Millennium Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 How about a Nicrorioter? Brandon hinted that Nicrosil can help compound allomancy, so I'll just mindcontrol the sucker. If I get a spike, I'll take another zinc. You can't Nicroburst yourself; Duralumin does that. But the basic principle is interesting: as a Hemalurgic creation, would Inquisitors be vulnerable to mind control in the same way that Koloss and Kandra are? If so, could Ruin override that through its strong connection to them? Misting: Chromium, to bring him down to more or less normal (still probably bigger and stronger than me, but there are ways of dealing with that). Come to think of it, would an Inquisitor be blind without iron or steel to burn? Ferring: Pewter, if we're assuming that I'm forced to stand and fight. Otherwise Steel, because I would rather run. Twinborn: If the trick from the RPG where you can use Nicrosil to burn charges out of someone else's metalmind works, then Chromium/Nicrosil to really bring him down to normal. Otherwise, Chromium/Gold, to negate the one supernatural advantage a Leeched Inquisitor has left. Misting with a spike: Pewter spiked with Chromium. Bring him down to normal, and then augment my strength to negate that advantage.
Satsuoni he/him Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 @Millenium: 1. I believe Observer refers to Feruchemical Nicrosil, which stores investiture and may possibly be used to boost Allomancy as well as Feruchemy. We don't know its exact properties yet. (And no, RPG is not a reliable source for that.) 2. Yes, Inquisitors are vulnerable, although seemingly less so than other Hemalurgic creations. It was exploited by Vin once. 3. Yes, Ruin can take them back in the same way he did with Koloss. Many Inquisitors were, in fact, under his direct control during HoA. 4. There are two theories about Inquisitor being blind, boiling down to yes and no I am in the No camp, i.e. he'll still see. They certainly seem to gain the sight faster than any Savant could.
