Link Von Kelsier Harvey he/him Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 On page four of Alcatraz VS The Shattered Lens, Bastille complains that Shasta got away with a set of translator's lenses. This is incorrect. Shasta got away with the book, but Alcatraz got the lenses back. At first I assumed this was Alcatraz being stoopid while writing the book, but it's never mentioned. In later scenes Alcatraz correctly worries about that book his mother stole. But then, in a later chapter (I think it was somewhere around chapter A+, but I could be incredibly wrong) Bastille does it AGAIN, talking about Shasta's set of Translators lenses. Is Bastille stoopid? Is Alcatraz, the author, stoopid? What goes on here?
luminos Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Shasta does have a pair of translator lenses, but not from book 3. She got them from Attica's possesions in book 2.
Link Von Kelsier Harvey he/him Posted December 2, 2010 Author Posted December 2, 2010 No, Alcatraz got them back and gave them to Attica!
luminos Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Snickering Sandersons! You're right. Well, thats a bit annoying. 1
Link Von Kelsier Harvey he/him Posted March 16, 2011 Author Posted March 16, 2011 I'm gonna bump this thread because the question was never answered and it's still bugging me. Anyone know what happened here?
PeterAhlstrom he/him Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Brandon fixed some mistakes after the copyedit. But then Scholastic never gave us galley proofs, so those fixes did not get into the final book. There are various reasons that Brandon is not happy with Scholastic. 9
Silus - Shard of Flame he/him Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Scholastic is not very nice to him, despite being pretty dang successful. I guess they just don't recognize talent. *snooty, dismissive, nasal sound*
