Silus - Shard of Flame he/him Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 I would like to announce that I found the most hilarious code on the site. {$this->lang->words['who_farted']} I am not making this up. This is, of course, my doing as Adonalsium. Mwahaha.
Eerongal he/him Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 I would like to announce that I am on vacation, and momentarily leaving for the Ozarks. So long, suckas! (i'll probably be on while down there, though)
Chaos he/him Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 I would like to announce Pokemon Black has arrived on my doorstep. I'm not going to get much writing done, am I...
KChan she/her Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 I would like to announce that I do not want to drive for five hours tomorrow.
SOM1else he/him Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 I would like to announce that after 28 hours of playtime I am now the Unova Region Champion!
KChan she/her Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 I would like to announce that "Jeeze, already?" I would also like to announce that I know that sentence made no sense, and no, I do not care. Also, Daylight Savings Time is evil.
Link Von Kelsier Harvey he/him Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 I would like to announce that EV training takes a long time, even with the Macho Brace.
KChan she/her Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 I would like to announce that I agree completely with the above statement.
Shivertongue he/him Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 I would like to announce that EV training is stupid, and you should just play the bloody game and have fun. 1
Link Von Kelsier Harvey he/him Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 I would like to announce that my level 37 Emboar has an attack stat of 110. I'm having plenty of fun.
Chaos he/him Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 (edited) I would like to announce that EV training is stupid, and you should just play the bloody game and have fun. I agree with this statement wholeheartedly. I try to pick strong Pokemon, but I don't care enough to play competitively against other people. Smart type matching is all I need to beat computer players, and that's good enough for me. EDIT: I would like to announce that written critiques take freaking forever. Edited March 14, 2011 by Chaos
Link Von Kelsier Harvey he/him Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 It's just, for over a decade, there's been this entire other level to pokemon training that I had no idea existed. It's like reading all the cosmere novels and finding out 10 years later about Adonalsium.
Chaos he/him Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 It's just, for over a decade, there's been this entire other level to pokemon training that I had no idea existed. It's like reading all the cosmere novels and finding out 10 years later about Adonalsium. Okay, that's a good analogy. But Adonalsium takes less grinding to understand (Well, maybe not, if our theories are considered grinding)
Emeralis00 she/her Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 I would like to announce that I had no Idea EV training existed. Also, more importantly, that my Ipod just died permanently... And that my Web-dictionary doesn't recognize Ipod as a word.
leinton Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 We forum grind and book grind (except we don't grind books) instead of level/EV grind! And yeah, when I play Pokemon, I really don't care enough to EV grind. The games never hold my interest long enough for it to really matter. 1
Chaos he/him Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 I didn't know about EVs for a long time, but I knew there was something like it from playing Pokemon Stadium. If you ever cheated and cloned in 99 Rare Candies to level Pokemon for Stadium--which I frequently did--you quickly realized that your opponent's Pokemon were stronger. If you level your Pokemon naturally, they will be stronger. EVs (Effort Values) are responsible for that. Basically, it involves this: if you beat a Pokemon, yours will gain an EV in a stat. Which stat, and the amount of EVs you gain, depends on the Pokemon you beat. It's all very complicated, and I'm too lazy for that
Puck he/him Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 I would like to announce that, if we talk about grinding too much more, we're going to lose our PG rating. Heyoooooo! 2
Silus - Shard of Flame he/him Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 We have a PG rating? I started a Driving Class today and declare that those who use scare tactics and guilt trips to teach should not be surprised if no one wants to talk to them. Also, I've set a ludicrous goal, more info will be put up in the What Are You Reading topic.
KChan she/her Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 I would like to announce that microwaves are freaking heavy, that it was miraculously nice enough outside today to have been carrying a microwave around, even if it is a rather difficult feat to accomplish on an empty stomach, and that it was worth every second of the struggle to have a microwave that actually does what microwaves are supposed to do.
Eerongal he/him Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 I would like to announce that as of last night I am officially engaged 2
Zas678 he/him Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Yay! Congratulations! EDIT- This might mean the rest of us have a chance at the Time Online award! 1
Puck he/him Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Congrats Eerongal! 'House of stone' and all that!
Silus - Shard of Flame he/him Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Yay for Eero! What the heck is the traditional saying for engagements? Many happy returns? No, that's birthdays. Mozzletoff(or however you spell that)? No, that's for the actual wedding, right? I don't know!
