Ah, I've always loved this theory. Great to see it confirmed. Didn't Brandon once say that there was a Terriswoman worldhopper in Warbreaker somewhere? I'd always assumed that was Aslydin, though I don't think we've ever found her?

It's interesting how close her name is to Elhokar's wife, though. Aslydin. Aesudan. A-S-D-N are the main letter progressions in both.

The leading theory is that the Terriswoman worldhopper in Warbreaker is the Nurse. We have only a RAFO from Brandon on that guess, though:

  KURKISTAN

Speaking of the Terriswoman, is she the nurse in Warbreaker?

I'm not saying a completely insane, crackpot theory just happened, but yeah... it totally did.

After having a little dig around Coppermind looking at various Cosmere naming conventions, her name could be of Terris origin.

It could also be Rosharan, but doesn't seem to have the not-quite-palindrome symmetry of Vorin names.

I suppose it could also be Yolish or another world, but I'm only going by published works.

When I saw that on the AMA, I immediately assumed he meant her name was Thaylen.

Aslydin. Look at all those consonants squished together. It even uses a "y" as a stand-in vowel, which seems like a trademark Thaylen thing to me (I imagine in the names that the "y" is pronounced "yuh", like Artmyrn is "Art-myuh-rn" and Rysn is "Ryeh-sn")

I assumed that the Terris worldhopper ,the nurse in Warbreaker presumably, was Aslydin.

This is really interesting, if this is the case she couldn't be the Terriswoman in Warbreaker , unless Thyalen people and Terrismen be alike. But I keep thinking that Aslydin is a Terris name ( is similar to Tindwyl ) but it is true that could be a Thaylen name too.

Well, since the name isn't truly Terris, according to the AMA, I guess it means she wasn't the Terris nurse anyway (unless when Brandon said there was a Terriswoman in Warbreaker, he meant someone who had lived in Terris)

Actually, this is really interesting. Tindwyl has a bunch of consonants smashed together, too. Perhaps Kwan could be described the same way. Could the Terris people and the Thaylen people be related? We know that the Iri people worldhopped to Roshar and have been on many different worlds, so perhaps some of the different races on Roshar are actually seperate species of human which immigrated there. Selish, Aimian, Iri, Thaylen, Natanatish, and Shin could be described this way, though Alethi, Veden, Reshi, and Makabaki seem like pretty much the same species.

Don't forget Listeners.

I thought the Listeners were native?

Seemingly more native than any other species really.
