Kobold King he/him Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 I wonder if Schrodinger's cat would like a bite of salmon. Because I think Schrodinger's cat would like a bite of salmon. (That's about how far my thoughts on that model go. ) I think Schrödinger is an irresponsible maniac who shouldn't be allowed to own pets, but that's just me. 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted May 2, 2015 Author Posted May 2, 2015 I think Schrödinger is an irresponsible maniac who shouldn't be allowed to own pets, but that's just me. Agreed. I think we should find Schrodinger's cat and take it on an extended "vacation" where we cuddle it while feeding it delicacies like fish and chicken. 1
Kobold King he/him Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 From Shiny Sparkle's wiki page: Her attitude towards people so far is largely dependent on how they react to her relationship with Autumn. Aaaaand Shiny hates me now. 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted May 2, 2015 Author Posted May 2, 2015 Aaaaand Shiny hates me now. It's okay. You like cats and pancakes, so Funtimes likes you. 1
Kobold King he/him Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 It's okay. You like cats and pancakes, so Funtimes likes you. And I like Firefly, so Backtrack likes me. And I like helicopters, so Vondra likes me. And I like dinosaurs, so Lightwards likes me... where was I going with this? 1

Um…..setting up a sitcom called Everyone Loves Kobold, as evidenced by this comic from your birthday party? …..never mind. 2
Comatose he/him Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone! I was otherwise occupied yesterday, and have been busy today as well, but I should be back again tomorrow and Monday! Possibly spoilers? I've only watched the first season plus two episodes, but I'm responding to something in the spoiler tags, so Kobold, you can decide for yourself if I'm likely to give anything away: As for MLP, I'm just starting season 2 (not too worried about spoilers at this point though), and I'm already sick of the CMC. I think the creators did a fantastic job of fleshing out the Mane 6, and I love the interplay and dynamics between each of them. They have a totally believable group of of friends, complete with subdivisions within the group, and its really cool to see. In season one, there were two CMC episodes in a row, and I made the mistake of just watching them in that sitting, and it really took away some of my appreciation of the show. When the focus shifted back to the Mane 6 I was immediately engaged again. I hope I'm not offending anyone who is a fan, but the CMC seem mostly just like cutie eye candy to me, and I'm not getting a lot of substance from them. On another note, I LOVE Discord! He's fantastic.
Kobold King he/him Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 (edited) Um…..setting up a sitcom called Everyone Loves Kobold, as evidenced by this comic from your birthday party? …..never mind. The only sitcom that raises my self-esteem every time its name is uttered. And Discord's awesome! I really can't get enough of the guy. Have you seen his fan-made theme song, Coma? Kobold King he/him Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Appleoosa's Most Wanted: Once, Backtrack, Murphy, and Troubleshoes Clyde all entered the same room together. Troubleshoes tripped into Murphy, whose prime invincibility promptly kicked in. Backtrack attempted to flee the premises but crashed into the wall, as a swirling vortex of destruction began to engulf the room... And that, fillies and gentlecolts, is what happened in Oregon. As for the Cutie Mark Crusaders... I like them. I like them a lot. Don't quote me on this, but I think that at one point a CMC spin-off was in the works but cancelled at the last minute, resulting in many of the ideas for episodes they'd hatched being recycled into the main series. It's a shame characters like Applejack or Pinkie's family get cheated out of focus, though. "Maud Pie" was one of my favorite episodes from the entire series. In other news, next week's episode is evidently a Discord one, which is always something to get excited about. 2
Mailliw73 he/him Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Oh, the next section of the Destructors in Astoria is up.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted May 3, 2015 Author Posted May 3, 2015 Gordon still didn’t know how Remington had managed to do it, though according to Rumor he’d prayed for a day and a night for God to bless his fist and then punched the Epic’s head clean off. Methinks I have some revisions to make to Koschei's death scene. 3
Edgedancer he/him Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Precisely. The others get more focus in earlier seasons. Season 1 is dedicated entirely to the Mane 6 becoming friends, while Season 2 is devoted to them learning to navigate conflict in their friendships. It introduces the CMC, but they only get an episode or two (it's been a while since I watched the older seasons, so I don't recall the actual number), and Season 3 begins to focus on the CMC and a few other side characters. This is the first season I've seen that really focused on the CMC to the extent that they get….what, three episodes out of six? Two but that's still more than enough. It also doesn't help that one of those episodes was a dream sequenze that just looped, effectively wasting a lot of the episodes running time. From Shiny Sparkle's wiki page: Aaaaand Shiny hates me now. Maybe a little bit. But don't worry, we won't let the big scarry exsplosion Epic harm you... you just have to pay up.

But don't worry, we won't let the big scarry exsplosion Epic harm you... you just have to pay up. The looping did get old. By the second dream sequence, I think the premise had already worn thin—though I did enjoy witnessing Lightsong's monkey hand out cutie marks. (Seriously, though, if pony society is such that the town's only pest pony will hand over the reins to his replacement, who can't be older than eight or ten, then Equestria is quite the dystopia. Run by idiots. Glad that's not really the case.) With the CMC, I can tell the writers are using them to talk about figuring out what you're going to do in life, worrying about the future, and how you view your talents—which are all excellent messages, but I'm starting to wish they'd just give the CMC their cutie marks and be done with it. Pay up in what? Does Shiny Sparkle take payment in pug pictures, too? Edited May 3, 2015 by TwiLyghtSansSparkles

In magical mystery cure swapping them didn't change what a pony could actually do, in Cutiemarkless having them removed also invluenced personality and ability and now Troubleshose's was only tangentially connected to his moment of self-realization, causing him to get it completely wrong. No no he has to pay protection money to us, you know in upvotes, pug pictures and files ect.
Blackhoof Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 (edited) In terms of the Dalles, canon was always going to be bent in this RP no-one wants to only play evil psychopaths, we need some pathos and complexity in there, some goodness to corrupt for drama. But they also have the bonus of being very lucky- no indestructible Epic since Koschei has come around. Deathwish has a PI, but it could be bypassed, and his offensive powers are nonexistent. No single Epic could take over the Dalles easily. That said, canon-wise they probably would try anyway, being stupid, arrogant Epics, but canon is mutable <p> I want to add an Epic; however, I am kind of confused as to where exactly it should go, how I should introduce him, etc. Anyway... The Phoenix Abilities: Reincarnation - much like the Phoenix of mythology, this Epic catches fire when killed, burning to ashes. He is reborn at the same age he was at his Rending, 25 - memories intact, reborn to the moment of the Phoenix's birth (having him reborn as a baby was way to boring). Basic Flame Creation and Manipulation - Standard Fire Epic - Can create large bursts of Flame and direct the general direction it is burning - no swords of fire or fancy fireworks. So, 'fire, go left.' 'left-forward' 'up' etc. Cleansing Fire - can 'burn' out impurities such as disease and poison. General Fire, Heat Immunity - will not accidentally light himself on fire. Weakness: Okra - Doesn't burn and if he eats it, his abilities are neutralized.welcome Shard! Great to have more people.I'd advise against Astoria, myself, as it is filled with the most op Epics we can think of. As was suggested earlier, I think the Dalles or Corvallis would be best for a character of that power level. Edited May 3, 2015 by Blackhoof
Voidus Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Having a PI negates most of the dangers of Astoria I think although it's a bit crowded at the moment so I'm not sure he'd fit into the story.

Tecnically yes, but it's still bothersome if most other characters can send yours in a 24 hours regeneration trip with barely an effort.

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted May 3, 2015 Author Posted May 3, 2015 Pretty sure he's been in contact with Edgerunner. Obviously Rumor is a minor Epic who teaches history in The Dalles. 2

Kobold King he/him Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Is he the kind of history teacher that claims Humans migrated to Equestria half a decade ago? But in Equestria Girls Twilight Sparkle shows no indications of recognizing the human image, indicating that if there ever were humans in Equestria they had to have either left or passed into extinction at least before the first defeat of Discord... Sorry.

Sorry. Why would a historical documentation from before the first contact cuddling show humans in Equestria? That's what happens in season 6.
