I'm just thinking that they're on the outer fringes of the city where Kayla could potentially run into them. Also the worst that could happen to her with them is a suggestive comment from Deathwish, as opposed to the inescapable murder, torture, or other abuse that would befall her if she ran into Frequency or Quicksilver's gangs. This... isn't a friendly setting for vanillas. Maybe. There's a few Frostfire scenes I'll probably be WHOOCing down the road, anyways, so why not. So long as they're intimidating enough that she feels safer introducing herself as Mirrorveil, rather than Kayla, they're not out of the question. And Deathwish might well be, so it could work. I don't think Quicksilver or Frequency would outright murder her, as she'd claim to be an Epic, and she'd have the power to prove it. (In her backstory, she spent a couple years working for a powerful Epic somewhere further down the west coast [who may or may not have terrorized the LA area for several years be for his death ] so it's not a position she'd be unused to, although it most definitely would not be good for her.) At least she picked the friendliest of all the threads to start off in. Imagine how awful it'd be for Kayla in Astoria. As much as I'd like to see Quota get some comeuppance, I'm inclined to consider locking Kayla in the same room with him as a crime against humanity. ...Yeah, that wouldn't have been pretty. Even the Dalles, for how relatively friendly it is, is probably going to be pretty hard on her. Locking her in a room with most Epics would be a crime against humanity. The Trifecta more-so than most. I'd imagine Nighthound would be even worse, though. ...I don't think there are any smilies capable of conveying the amount of nope that would have. She can get a reading off of sounds, (little micro-inflections in someone's voice) but her synesthesia is primarily visual, so they would be a lot weaker. Otherwise, she needs line of sight. Her condition won't trigger without any stimuli. ...This pug almost conveys the proper amount of abject horror. 2

Can we start a Google Doc for all the fanon Epics in the world outside Oregon we've namedropped? That could help us keep them all straight when mentioning foreign Epics. I just posted in The Dalles, by the way. Special thanks to Lightsworn Panda for allowing me to write for his character in his absence. That might help, I remember off-handedly turning Boston into a desert. This migh be the Panda at his most solemn... granted Cornelius is probably not the most reliable narrator. Or Portland. I'm still not sure if I qualify as a brony. I make lotsa pony jokes, but those are in-jokes based around this RP and have nothing to do with the show. My actualy knowledge on the show is based almost entirely on second hand knowledge, although I did go to youtube and watched a couple of MLP-reviewers/analyzers... so I don't know.
