No, but you're on the right track in that none of these are human.

That narrows it down to every Disney movie of all time.

Excellent. Then you don't need another hint, do you?

It's not a Disney film but it is for children.

How to train your dragon.

EDIT: Sorry, just noticed the non-human  hint. So it can't be it. :P

Worth a shot, I'll give you that :P

The first character simply wants to have a friend.

But that's definitely a movie, right? Because you confirmed it's for children, but never actually confirmed that is a movie. :P

Apologies. I meant to say it's a children's movie, yes :) To just help things along a bit more, I will add that it is not an English (as in, language!) film.

Is it something studio ghibli ?

Nope, sorry.

The other main character just wants to learn how to fly, and the son with dad-problems is a fox.

Um. Dumbo?

Sorry, nope. Okay, I give up. It probably wasn't the best idea, but I really like that film. It's a German children's film called Keinohrhase und Zweiohrküken [Earless Rabbit and Two-Eared Chick, literally]

It's about two misfits with different dreams :) The rabbit just wants to be accepted and have a friend, and the chick just wants to be able to fly. And there's a semi-antagonist, the fox, who keeps getting pressured by his dad to be a proper fox >>

Anyway, okay, here's something that might be better:

A teenager becomes a god to protect his family, while his schoolmate hopes senpai will finally notice her, and another god gets punished for breaking regulations. Drama ensues.

Bleach. Ichigo becomes a Shinigami ('god of death') to protect his family from an attacking Hollow. Orihime is a classmate that hopes that Ichigo will finally notice her affects (so he's not actually her senpai). Rukia is a Shinigami who gets punished for commiting the sin of making a human into a Shinigami.

Ooh I jus started reading bleach! :)

Hellsing?

Though these "fabulous posing techniques"... hmm... :P

Not Hellsing, though you're getting warm, as it is a manga.

You're in for a long journey :P

None of those guesses are right, I am afraid.

Here's another clue then: It's one of the longest running manga in Japan, as it will be 30 years old next year.

Google suggests Dragon Ball Z but I don't think they're british. The posing could be the super saiyan evolutions though.....

Gundam is long running...

I'm afraid neither of these are correct (I wasn't even aware that either of these series had vampires in them). How long is one of these meant to go on?

Until I step in and say JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
