Just a question. I know that Nightblood is an optimistic killing sword, but I haven't read THAT much of Warbreaker. So no spoilers please. :D

Because Zahel is Vasher.

There's more obviously, but that's the basic answer.

Because he talked.  And he's black.  And he has the black smoke wisping off of him.  And Brandon basically confirmed him.  And he's black.  And he's talked.  And Zahel's Vasher.  And he talked.  And he has black smoke wisping off of him.

Nin is a Herald. I cannot fathom how Nightblood fell into his hands, though I suspect Zahel attempted his classic throw-Nightblood-amongst-some-enemies-then-retrieve-Nightblood-when-everyone-is-dead trick, except this time one of those people was a Herald, Nin, who was like, "Dis mine nao, kkthxbye." then flew away while a helpless Zahel looks on.

I imagine that Zahel has got a plan in the works to get Nightblood back.

You have now ruined Stormlight Archive for me. If that isn't how Nin got Nightblood, I will be beyond disappointed.
