Kobold King he/him Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 You know what I can't stop thinking about? Someone, maybe David, facing Obliteration while reciting "Jabberwocky." "And as in uffish thought he stood..." "I looked, and I beheld an angel." "The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame..." "In his hand was a sword." "Came whiffling through the tulgey wood, and burbled as it came!" "I am NOT burbling!" ’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe: All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe. Oddly enough, that stanza almost makes sense describing the strange and whimsical jungles that Dawnslight creates. 4

Oddly enough, that stanza almost makes sense describing the strange and whimsical jungles that Dawnslight creates. The second-to-last stanza definitely describes Regalia: One, two! One, two! And through and through The vorpal blade went snicker-snack! He left it dead, and with its head He went galumphing back. 3

Also, by any chance did you copy-and-paste that stanza from Poetry Foundation .org? Because the font and size from what you pasted is the exact same as what I pasted. 2

Kobold King he/him Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 She does burble when she makes those water projections, doesn't she? Maaaayyyybeeee…… Using "burble" as onomatopoeia for Regalia's powers is going to drastically improve my re-readings. 3
Mailliw73 he/him Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 It lets you find the color codes you used quickly and efficiently, so you can reapply them while recreating the pony. In other news, I posted this topic and only afterwards did I realize that Chimera could conceivably caused the first scenario. I just posted there. My question is a serious one. Kinda. Voidus, will MV have a different reaction to the break necklaces or should I have Emma go next? If MV will ask more questions or be angry, I'd rather you go first. Newan, I'm sorry, I totally forgot about Freq. I'll try to get a post up tomorrow. 1

Edgedancer he/him Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 (edited) Didn't Kobold make a panda pony at one point? I made a pony for the Panda but Lightsworn didn't take it up. I have an idea. would you be opposed to having Deathgale come to Icesteel Keep and interupting Winterspell's date night? He could slash through the walls, making his way straight to Winterspell. Since Winterspell can just remake the walls, it wouldn't make him anything more than pretty mad. It would also fit in with the uneasy/annoying relationship that Bloody Mary and her gang has with him. Perhaps he could recruit Winterspell (and perhaps Lightwrought) to fight any one of the groups of Epics attacking the city. I can send over Deathgale but the problem is that he hasn't been informed yet about all that's going on, so he wouldn't yet start gearing him up for a specific threat. In other news, I posted this topic and only afterwards did I realize that Chimera could conceivably caused the first scenario. Wouldn't Chi come up with something more varied than just elephant stormtroopers? (Yes, elephant stormtroopers, go check it out.) Yeah definitely sounds good, collaboration doc? I could introduce Bioterror but he's not really canon fodder and he has a PI, alternatively if nothing else works out I could begin invading Astoria with my legions of hitherto unintroduced Epics if Edge okays it. Once we get there, sure. Maybe you could wait with the random Epics until the unrest in the city is large enough for the gangs to rebel. (Which would probably still take a while.) Edit: The Adventurer scanned his surroundings, the lack of chest-high walls was a bit alarming, almost all shooters had them these days but he supposed the designers wanted to try something different. Seems like the Adventurer is a shooter guy. Edited March 2, 2015 by Edgedancer 1

I should clarify that that post was only 20% serious attempt to pawn off more of my millions of Epics, 80% joke Just something a reviewer I enjoy always complains about in shooters so I thought I'd throw it in. If he has the same flask of blood that the Metal has, couldn't Mary let him know what is going on? Or does he need the Metal's level of hearing to hear Mary through the flask?

Are a lot of the women you've worked with genuinely more likely to be passive aggressive, then? I haven't seen many earnest "" smilies from you. Sorry you're having a bad day so far. I heard you like meerkats, so... It's stressful to go alone. Take this. My morning's fine so far. I've got a pot of water on the stove, which I intend to corrupt with powdery, cappuccino-flavored corn syrup solids that will probably kill me over my lifetime. So I've got that going for me, which is nice. Forum-wise, the global paranormal defense consortium I started is being compromised by infighting. After an invasion by elephant stormtroopers, two councilmen have split into anti-Earth-elephant and pro-Earth-elephant factions. It... sounds silly, but there seems to be a fairly legitimate fight going on over there and I'm not sure whether I should try to say anything peacemaking. 3

I once worked in a retirement home dining room where there was one guy on staff. The environment was very catty, filled with backbiting, gossiping, and bullying I was too shy to stand up to. At a department store, my department was entirely women, and it wasn't unusual for a handful of girls to stand around gossiping while I or another few coworkers did all the work; and when I called one of the gossipers on it, she spread rumors about how mean I was. The staff where I currently work is mostly male, and it's pretty laid back (though communication could be a bit better) but the business office is mostly female. There's one queen bee whose cattiness apparently filters down; she was the one who when, having asked if the other receptionist had told me about my mistake last week, laughed when I said "Several times." I think equal male-female staff ratios are the best. One restaurant I worked in had one of those, and it was snide, sarcastic, collaborative, blunt, fast-paced, and supportive. A good combo, when it's put in action. Thanks for the meerkat. Ooh. Um, you could tell them that every second they waste arguing is another second the elephants can use? It makes sense that an equal ratio would be best--equal ratios are what the human race is designed to fall into naturally, right? So it only makes sense that we'd be adapted to work best when the proper balance is met. I'm sorry you have to deal with women who are petty and mean, though. That sucks. Hmm. I might do that.

I don't get why "reality" shows about catty women doing catty things in catty ways are so popular. The real thing isn't fun at all. And I know there's no such thing as a perfect workplace, but I wish someone would stand up to miss Queen Bee. Or that the boss would talk to her. Whatever it takes. "Learn to get along, OR THE ELEPHANT TERRORISTS WIN." 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted March 2, 2015 Author Posted March 2, 2015 Why not you? Why don't I win instead of the elephant terrorists...oh, you meant the other thing. The main reason is that my interaction with her is thankfully very limited. When we speak, it's always because of some time-sensitive work issue and holding her up to stand up for myself would almost certainly lead her to report me to her superiors for harassment or whatever charge she thought fit best. Another reason is that, although she's been rude in almost every interaction, if I were to report her, I'd have only a handful of incidents to make my case with. And I worry she'd excuse her attitude with the fact that almost all of her lectures and tantrums we're because I'd made a mistake--which of course isn't fair, but she does occupy a higher position on the corporate ladder than I do, so if I claim she's being unfair, it's my word against hers. The most I can do at this point is answer her next attempt at lecturing me over the phone with "I'm sorry, can I call you back? I have a customer on the other line." 2
