Blaze1616 he/him Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 (edited) Pretty self explanatory. I usually get a few chapters in to gain a natural knowledge of the system, and then I'll check the Ars Arcanum, skipping over things I feel might be spoilerific. This topic may contain much spoilers. Read at your own risk. Edited January 16, 2015 by Blaze1616
Curiosity he/him Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Before the reread is the option that I would have chosen. That's when I look for all of my Cosmere easter eggs. The first time through I like to just enjoy the story without predicting exactly what will happen (magic-wise, that is). 1
Redbird he/him Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 I read it last, it is at the end for a reason! 1
SmurfAquamarineBodies he/him Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 I read it at the end. Mainly because I'm too lazy to flick to the back pages. 3
Mailliw73 he/him Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 I read the entire things straight through, from the prologue straight through the story, Ars Arcanum, and Acknowledgements. 3
Xaladin he/him Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 I start with the Ars Arcanum and refer back to it several times while reading the book. If I come across too many spoilers, I'll stop and come back to it later. 1
Dresden45 he/him Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 I read it when I'm confused on somthing
vineyarddawg Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 I almost always save the Ars Arcanum until the end of the book, to help me understand things I might have missed in my first reading of the book.
