I actually consider my prose rather beige.

As do I. Beige, with brief flashes of glitter. Kind of like a sofa in Middle America when a four-year-old girl does an art project nearby. :P

I added in Autumn seeing Shiny Sparkle.

Yeah Funtimes is definitely my favorite character. Character wise (definitely not personal opinion), I think I like Nighthound. He's well written.

Thanks! :) I agree on Nighthound being well-written. He's a very well-written nightmare.

Storms, I already used the compliment meme, thanks though. :P (Now, I might just know how Dan Wells feels about John)

.....that´s Funtimes right?

While her blouse would give of a more colorful glow right now the mishmash of color might be a exaggeration, she´s not quite that funtimes. ;)  (Yes, I turned Funtimes into an adjective)

For reference:

Appearance: Shiny Sparkle is a woman in her mid-twenties, has full red hair that goes down a bit longer than her shoulders and wears jeans combined with a white blouse underneath a light jacket, depending on mood clothes may or may not sparkle.

Furthermore, she wears sunglasses that have a bright green tint. Hidden behind her glasses are her eyes, who have turned prismatic, meaning that instead of a single color they are a swirl made up from all colors

The jacket currently is some shade of tourquise.

Time for my Portland character! At last after the two days worth of reading a ridiculous 41 page thread, I am here and ready for action. Or more like "there."

Red. She is a minor Epic who treats any Epic with more power than her as divine. She says "Lord Divinity" or "Lady Divinity" to refer to a High Epic. She understands the importance of being useful to her superiors. With the more disturbed Epics, she is willing to do somewhat disturbing acts if she thinks it will make her favored. I.E. let them drink her blood. (What can I say? There are some really disturbed Epics out their, i.e. Nighthound, Koschei, Steelheart) Red's powers is control over her blood. She transfer any surface into blood. She can't die of blood loss unless she's already unconscious. Red heard their was some High Epics in Oregon, so she figured her services might be useful to some of the more arrogant High Epics who only use minor Epics as their servants. She cannot control other peoples' blood, that would be too powerful.

Also, I may have exaggerated. I mostly read a few peoples' posts. Funtimes, Nathan, Lightwards, Remington (sometimes), Nighthound, Lucentia, and a couple of others.

Well hello miss creepy. Hope we can get along.

Not if your name is Bloody Marry and you live in Astoria. (Although she needs to touch it/them first, which makes it kinda useless against people with impervious skin and the like.)

So, mostly the empire. I would suggest some Voidgaze to wash the Nighthound creep out of your brain.

Posted

She likes being the way she is, it helps her survive. And if Voidgaze can "wash the Nightblood creep out of your brain", why doesn't she do that to Nightblood?

She intented to do that but then her boss made an alliance with his "boss" and she doesn´t want that awkward moment where everyone blames her for messing the alliance up, yet.

Now I've just realized I've been saying "Nightblood" instead of "Nighthound"

Um. No. Just no.

I ship Nighthound + Nightblood.

And by ship, I mean "I support Nightblood being allowed to destroy the most creeptastic evil he has ever seen."

You did indeed say that in your last post. Funny, because we actually joked about Voidgaze teaming up with Nightblood, should she get over their initial confrontation. (I remember Quiver making the same mistake actually)

I support somebody teleporting Nightblood out of the Cosmere and to the Alternate Universe that is the insanity of Oregon. In fact, I support Funtimes being somewhere else. I don't want Nightblood being transformed into a sword made of glitter. I wonder if Nightblood could kill Nighthound. Further speculation must be made on this subject.

Yes he could, rather easily actually.

I'm not entirely sure if Funtimes could transform Nightblood. Her powers don't allow her to transform living things into something else. From the descriptions in Warbreaker, it seemed as though Sentient Awakened Objects like Nightblood were living; he had a personality, a will, and a consciousness, so I would classify him as a living being.

As for Shiny Sparkle, I'll edit my post. I couldn't find a description of her clothes in the Epics of Oregon thread.

If we equate Breath to live, which isn´t that far a stretch by Cosmere standarts, (although it´s a bit more complicated) Nightblood would definetly count as living.

Right, I actually forgot to update that, up and away to correct my error.

And it is done and sparks but I will have to replace all my ponies.

The Autumn post is now a piece of perfection. Guess I´ll wait until tomorrow (in my time) to give Voidus and Kobold a chance to say if they want to go next.

:(

Yay? If it led to the destruction of ponies, though, it's kind of a hollow victory. :P

Almost done with the first Funtiimes flashback.

It had nothing to do with the edit. Probably a side effect of the new sub-forum not allowing to upload pictures directly and I´m pretty sure I still have all of the important ones, so no biggy.

 So excited.

Oh no. Nighthound's is gone now. Looks like we'll have to replace him with a pretty pink pony princess. :P

I'm not sure what you guys are expecting, so I don't know if it's what you're expecting or not.

Behold the new Nighthound!

My first rule against disapointment is to not expect specifics, so it´s sure to fulfill my expectation. ;)

Would it be okay if I did an introductory post for Red in around an hour?

I don´t mind, just out of curiosity, is she going to join up with the Empire?

Should be fine. Echoing Edgedancer's question, which faction will she be joining?

That is the best representation of Nighthound I have ever seen.

Oh, good philosophy. I always say that if you keep your expectations low enough, they'll always be exceeded. :P

Only for a certain amount of time until a certain somebody betrays. If that would be okay with you, Edgedancer? Due to Red's nature, I'm pretty sure you know which somebody I'm talking about.

I think the implication is quite clear and I don´t mind, although as I said before, Nighthound´s betrayal while likely isn´t set in stone yet. To be honest, I´m still trying to decide how his relationship with Mary would influence his opinion of Red... it might actually turn out in her favour.

Posted

By join up, I meant voluntary slavitude. But that's the level of insanity Red has. She really likes being a slave. And who is Mary? I read the thread, but is that something in the future that is planned?

Seems like she got the right house number then.

Mary is one of the Epics in Astoria and with the plans to turn Astoria into a setting, she going to get an upgrade from backstroy to PC. Powerwise, she´s essentially Red scaled to high Epic-tier. Relationshipwise I would RAFO the detail but there´s a thing going on between them. Shorth summary: They were lovers before Calamity, meet up again as Epics (Nighthound turning into one significantly earlier) and after the conquest of Astoria Nighthound had severe commitment issues.

Posted

Okay thanks. I would have guessed that Nighthound wouldn't exactly stick around. It's good to have Epics with similar powers but with different limitations.

Talking about limitations, what exactly can Red do with her blood control? A phisical description, even a vague one, would also be appreciated.

Posted

It's not superfast, but it acts like it has no gravity unless she wants it to. Outside of her body. She can give herself new blood. If someone isn't able to run, she could probably drown them. And it's definitely creepy. The only origin of the blood is spilling out of her body, but she keeps an open cut. Old blood stays in the body, ignoring the cut, only when she wants new blood to come is when it goes out. The larger the cut, the faster it comes. It's O- blood, actually. If it matters.

Any capability to lift/grap thing?

Okay. The ones that aren't in my new post don't exist. I've changed my mind with them.

EDIT: As not to double post, my first Portland post is UP!

Cool! Welcome to Portland, Winter. :)

I officially made my first post in the Edassa RP today. I play Voidus' familiar spirit, an enormous intelligent crocodile. I write her much like I write Wes the Raptor, if Wes were a sociopath and a mild megalomaniac. :P

Not exactly Lightwards' train of thought goes "I am awesome because I am saving humanity."

To be fair, crocodiles are awesome. Lightwards just wishes he was awesome.

Yes, but limited. She can make it harden, but hard blood isn't that strong. Nothing beyond blood's normal capacity, she can just speed it up.

Now I wonder how much blood you need to actually restrict smeone´s movement.

Nice post by the way. Actually, is there anyone of importance still at the museum?
