The Unicyclist is a completely normal man. He wakes up in a normal house beside a normal wife, with three children who are completely average in their height, weight, intelligence, and personalities. He uses a normal car to attend a normal job, which affords him a modestly normal income on a regular schedule. He has not even once been seen in a Darth Vader mask or a kilt, and he grumbles in annoyance at the sight of anything even slightly out of the ordinary.

He is the least interesting man in the world, and his real name is John Smith.

Don't you mean Vernon Dursley?

Did he have a completely ordinary number of parking tickets?

Hmm, I think I'll go with Desolation.

Ooh, I like that idea. I'm going to use that.

So, any idea how long you and Voidus will need for the sub-plot?

The Panda works as a conservationist, appearing as a guest teacher at schools to educate the world's youth on the importance of saving endangered wildlife.

Michael Jäger was once a hunter, but after claiming to have seen a vision from God telling him to rid the world of suffering, he became a traveling miracle worker known as the Dayhound. He is a man of such intense holiness, the Roman Catholic Church declared him to be a living saint. His faithful assistant and wife of many years Ray assists him on his travels, and his snarky but lovable sidekick Red learns all that she can from his almost supernal goodness. It is said that his voice can make the deaf hear again; his compassionate smile can make the blind see, and his touch can purge all illnesses from a person's body.

The phrase "And then Dayhound lived" is a prayer of hope across the world.

That one is so ridiculous it had me rolliing on the ground.

Rita Blue is the corrupt owner of a fast food chain that mistreats its employees and somehow managed to push McDonalds out of buisness.

Which subplot is this?

The one with the Destructors and Connell. (You did write the opposing Epics, right, or did you only come up with them?)

Ah right :P

Yeah we're working on those now. I ended up throwing in some random backstory for an Epic from the MEE too.

Because I won't be satisfied til I've completely fleshed out all 3 million Epics I've come up with :P

Yes I sure am. I definitely don't have a problem. Did I mention that I don't have a problem? Because I don't. Now excuse me while I go eat, I just realized 3 days have passed.

I hope you realize that I'll read every Unicyclist post from now on imagining Vernon Dursley behind the mask. I'll let you know whether that's a bad thing. :P

Anyway, message to the thread at large, I think I've got my Epic for Astoria planned out. I'm adopting one of the Epics from the "Ideas of Oregon" thread: "That One Guy," by TwiLyght.

I might actually not use Simon for Astoria, he was an interesting character and I wrote heaps of backstory and stuff for him but it might be a bit hard for him to fit into Astoria.
So I'm thinking instead of:

Bioterror:
Primary- Metabolic manipulation, can manipulate the metabolism of any non-epic organism at a cellular level, capable of causing near instant death or a myriad of other effects in his target.

Secondary-Personal cellular manipulation, capable of completely manipulating all of his bodies cells.

Passive: Temporal regression, a form of regeneration however injured he becomes the flesh and blood will quickly fly back to his body, reconstituting his body.

I like the idea of this guy. He's pretty similar to Slaughterhouse and the Panda, but more refined and specific in his abilities.

Have you got any ideas for his general personality or goals? Will he have a motif?

Lemme get this straight. You want a character with the power of "I win!"?

I like the PI. I remember having a character that used this as a form of attack, for example by cutting of a part of his finger, throwing it behind an enemy and then it would pierce through the enemy on its way back.

Are you still going to use Sharkbait as well?

Yeah his secondary was based off of Slaughterhouse but my idea was for it to work on a cellular level so it's pretty hard for him to do big changes with any speed.

Still fleshing out the man beneath the Epic.

Um... yes? :P He'll have more precise limitations than "That One Guy," so don't worry. :P

Yep! Probably Jingleberry too, though her appearances will be sporadic and she'll probably end up serving another Epic. (Because right now I don't have any Epics who serve another player's character.)

The man behind the Epic, live this weekend on Steelheart TV!

Nah, just try to be fair with your brokenness, otherwise I´ll have to bring in the original Blueberry.

Well, Backtrack serves just about everyone that happens to be around. :P Although, this does make me think, the fronts might be a bit to united in this already, player wise I mean. I wonder hw that will play out.

That's good. Because if he really did have all the powers of that one kid everyone knew, the entire game would be derailed as every single character tried to kill him out of sheer annoyance. :P

I just realized.

Nighthound will now have two minor Epics who follow him willingly. While Flashpoint is still alone.

Life is unfair. :P

And then they realized that his weakness is other people telling him no. :P

Well, he would have to get there first, though. A good reason to start Astoria early I would say. :P

Or that snidely creative people can cancel his powers:

"I have lava-proof boots!"

"Oh yeah? Do you have a lava-proof face?" *shoves face toward lava*

True. :P

True. :P

Suddenly, he doesn´t seem that bad a character. :P

The really weird thing about that whole situation? I don´t even consider Nighthound that strong an Epic, at least as far as High Epics go.

Strength-wise he's nothing to compare to the likes of Steelheart, Obliteration or Regalia but he could out-creep them three-to-one.

Oh I'll be fair. I'll be so fair none of you will stand a chance. :P (The more he uses his powers the more it lessens his prime invincibility, so he'll generally be confined to summoning things like guns or frying pans. You'll see soon when I post his bio.)

And true. Backtrack only barely counts as an Epic, though. :P

I've actually been wondering here lately... what would happen if Upgrade supercharged Backtrack? Would he be able to see the entire history of the Earth in a single instant? Would he briefly have a power similar to Firefight's, capable of viewing all of the parallel universes that divulged from past events? Would he have Bringer's power, and be able to summon objects or entities from the past?

We need to introduce Flashpoint and Edgerunner so they can start dating, pronto.

No one would know. He'd be too scared to ever say what happened, or do it again. :P

I ship it! I ship it so much!

Alright, complete anihilation in the form of the original Blueberry it is then. :P

Probably the first one at best. Everything else would be to useful. ;)

Well, Voidgaze already has a date, so I sadly can´t help here.

I ship it! I ship it so much!

"MV! I had ultimate power!"

"Um... what? Then why are you crying?"

"Because it was awful! I saw the entire history of the planet and was able to instantly change any event in history!"

"Huh? How is that awful? You could have given yourself invincible powers, or let Steelheart get killed in his youth, or have Obliteration as your personal manservant. Sparks, you could have stopped Calamity itself from rising! What is awful about being all powerful?"

* sniffs *

"It was scary."

Now we just need to give Mailliw a bunch of pointed stares until he canonizes it. :P
