Happy 5,000th post, Kobold King :)

Thanks. :) I was waiting to see if anyone would notice. :P

I just realized.

If you change one letter in Edgedancer's screen name, it's Edgedanger.

I think I need more sleep because I find this far too amusing.

You could have been TwiLyght Sand Sparkle. Or TwiLyght Sane Sparkle. Or TwiLyght Sads Sparkle. Or TwiLyght Bans Sparkle. Or TwiLyght Sins Sparkle. Or TwiLyght Sank Sparkle.

Or TwinyghtSanSparkle

TwinyghtSansSparkles: I don't have a twin.

Sand Sparkle: Sand can be sparkly along stretches of the Oregon coast, but that's mostly because of the beach glass. Though, in the near future, the sparkles near Astoria won't be as friendly….

Sane Sparkle: Ha! You used my name and "sane" in the same sentence without an "isn't" between them. :P

Sads Sparkle: Tears can be sparkly, I guess.

Bans Sparkle: Never.

Sins Sparkle: I fail to see how sparkles can be sinful. :P

Sank Sparkle: Not sure what this means, but I'm now tempted to build a boat just so I can call it the USS Sparkle.

Ahh.  I originally meant for them to be unbreakable by any means, but that might not be wanted.  Any thoughts on it?

I think that's fine. Prof has that. He can (firefight spoilers below)

make a tunnel under water for people to walk under

I think that's fine.

I suppose you could make an argument that sparkles are garish and conflict with models of Christian austerity...

Ok, then I will keep him like that.  ....And I really want to read Firefight now.

Sparkies? Like Sparky's Firehouse Subs, a chain from which my coworkers order lunch on occasion?

Here's the powerset for that possible new Destructor. What do you think?

Epic Name: Dustmaker

Human Name: Mike Duss

Weakness: <PM'd to the GM>

Primary Power: Disintegration. Can disintegrate any non-living thing equal to or smaller than him in size.

Secondary Power: Air manipulation. He can control the winds and air around him. He uses this to fly, but it's more of the wind pushing him or the air lifting him than true flying. He also uses this to knock over structures.

Passive Power: Disintegration field. Anything non-living that approaches him gets disintegrated automatically. The field is only slightly larger than his body.

I sometimes like to think that when I upvote awesome images of nature, I'm upvoting God Himself. Is that wrong? :P

I like him! He's definitely a Destructor worthy of the name. One question though...

Since his passive ability destroys all non-organic material automatically, wouldn't that disintegrate his clothing?

Nature is certainly upvote-worthy. :P

He just has to wear live squirrels :P.

Satan probably downvotes it.  <_< But that doesn't matter, because each of us has the option to either upvote or downvote God and His Creation. And there are more than enough good humans on this planet to cancel out demonic downvotes.

This has been Solid Religious Metaphors with Kobold King. Tune in next week for The Importance of Prayer: Or, Why to Private Message God Daily.

I wonder how Moral Guardian felt about Obliteration sitting shirtless for a week in the middle of Houston.

You purposely left out the part about him destroying the city afterwards, didn't you.

This is Moral Guardian we're talking about. His enemy is toplessness, not urbicide. :P

If Moral Guardian met Obliteration, he wouldn't attack. He'd just glare and radiate pure disapproval until Obliteration surrendered. :P

Maybe his costume is nudity? :P You're right. Maybe he can control it for things that can be let through, or it knows his intent when he reaches for clothes. . What do you think?

That's much better than my idea (having Moral Guardian provide black censor bars for all bystanders). :P

For the record, I vote we hold off on Astoria till Portland is destroyed, as originally planned. Some of us have enough trouble keeping up as it is.

Which means we should hurry up and destroy Portland. So let's get that meeting moving so the MEE attacks can commence.

Or we can just take our time. I'm in no rush.

Question for you all: How would Quota's powers affect your characters, bearing in mind Quota would be guessing the memories he was dredging up from that victim's emotions, taunting them all the while? And this goes together with another question: is there any character you want Quota to meet before he dies?

I'd like to start Astoria sooner rather than later. Maybe in a couple of weeks?

For everyone involved in the meeting, how does it sound if the meeting only goes a couple more posts before the MEE attack call comes in? I think Altermind just needs to give Lightwards a mobile, make a couple requests of Funtimes, and go over the basics of Project Amber.

Since Electro is already going to meet him, Quota could use his powers briefly on him, which would be fun. Give Electro a bit of punishment.

Well, Quota already screwed up Mundivore, and him meeting any of my Dalles Epics would result in mass death and confusion, I'd say no.

We've already discussed characters like Lightwards and Sam in the secretive realm of PMs, but I'd like to ask you about one: what would Koschei the Deathless have felt, had Quota been around to torment him?

I have no strong bias either which way in Astoria. Unless I can come up with a good High Epic (or buy one off of Voidus ) my main character will be Jingleberry, a mistletoe-controlling Epic who'd work as a fertility goddess / henchman for anyone who acknowledges her as some form of deity.

That sounds good. Then we can move on to the CM War itself, and through that, CHAOS. I mean, uh, more fun for everybody. :P

PP: Absolutely horribly, it would probably result in a spontaneous and continuous shifting of his active personality, likely culminating with Penumbra severing Quota's head from his body.

Scribbler: Also not well, although more in a curls-up-in-a-ball response than trying to murder Quota.

Twins: There's not too much horror in their backstory they'd probably be fairly limited in their reaction.

Neverthere: Is a particularly interesting one, could Quota manipulate her emotions just through her projection?

I'm already working on a list of possibilities for people who are looking for character ideas. List will be coming soon to a thread near you!

Actually on the topic of OP Epics would anyone object if I used Simon from the Halloween RP in Astoria? He's quite OP but also squishy since he has no defensive powers.
