I'm still for it. What does everyone else think?

Weren't we planning on starting it once the CM War ended and Lucentia returned home?

I'm for it, mind you, but I'm confused about our plans.

Being scary beyond all reason is rather hard for dead people, at least in this cannon.

:(

Will there be Voidgaze flashbacks at some point?

:(

Can I put Voidgaze in a lineup of "People Who Need a Hug Right Now?"

That would be very sweet of you, even though Voidgaze doesn´t even remember that she had a brother.

That was the plan once but then there was a motion to fast forward it.

Not sure, now that Nighthound found her old diary I thought about doing something epigraph stile but I haven´t decided yet.

That just makes her need a hug even more. :(

I'm not sure what the exact plans are, either.

True enough.

Last time I checked the plan was to throw all the Epics planned for the town at each other and see how the cooky crumbles, just minus Lucentia now, as it seems.

Of course I'm for Astoria; I've already got my characters ready! :)

Which Destructor was written by who again or did you decide to take all of them afterall?

I need to make characters for Astoria!

Make them OP, the power level is planned pretty high there. :P

I write all of them except Metalmech, who is being written by Mail-mi.

So, a couple more questions.  When you say that Firefight tanked a couple Epic ideas, (heh) when I read it will I have recreate some of the ideas I have posted?  Also, if Astoria is starting, any objections if I use on of the High Epics from the background of the Hawaii Epics?

I'm amused by the thought of Lucentia returning to her city only to find it in ruins, prompting her to begin a long and pitiful rant about how she can't stop working for "one measly week" without everything going to Calamity in a handbasket.

Or I would be amused, if it weren't for all the Astorians in the city who'll have to put up with the new arrivals.

I've been assuming What Happened in Astoria would take place far enough in the future for me to use Sunburst. If our plans are indeed accelerating, I'll need to create a new heinously overpowered Epic to bring to the party.

Lucent:

An Epic with the ability to control light. She can make light solid. She can make things brighter. She can melt into light and reaper somewhere else as long as there is natural light touching that somewhere else. Her teleportation instinctively activates when she is in danger. I'll add more later.

EDIT: Also, is the name okay?

Seems promising but first the obligatory specification question round.tm

Does the solid light have any uniting substance or can she make both goo and hard material, is it visible and what´s its maximum durability, weight ect.? For that matter can she still move the light after creating it. Does she need to be in natural light to innitiate her teleportation. Lastly, how quickly triggers her danger sense, does it activate similar to Obliteration´s and in that case could and "insta kill" move that doesn´t leave time to react still hit her.

The name is dangerously close to the one Steve limit, so your call.

Depends, the problematic elements mostly concern backstory and the speed the corruption moves, which is hard to tell without asking for details that would count as spoilers. (and in a seperate spoiler pm we are on our way to decide wheter or not to disregard some of the problematic elements, so nothing you would have to throw a character away over)

Probably not, but to be safe which one did you have in mind?

Half a decade she actually put work into gone in such a short time, for once I wouldn´t even blame her.

Yeah, poor guys.

Have fun with that. ;) (Is Jingleberry still up?)

I'm a bit worried as to the name, since it's too similar to Lucentia for me and would probably cause some misunderstandings. I think it'd work out best if you can find a different name that you like. I like the powers though. :)

She could always show up late to the party and finish off whoever's left.

Either Vis Vires or Poise, quick one word to describe them.  Vis Vires: Forcefields, Poise:  Knowledge/predictive.

We already have a forcefield Epic, so mind giving me the details on the other one?

It might be cool to see Vis Vires and Smasher interact in Astoria, with both of their force fields. If I had a bio on Vis, I might be better able to judge if they would be very similar or different enough. And even then, it is canon that similar Epics exist. It might be a good idea to show that.

Apologize, still trying to catch up and find everything I missed.  Here is a more extended Vis Vires bio, if it is too similar, I will switch over.

Forcefields-Vis Vires can create a near infinite number of forcefields, he is only limited by his sight.  They are completely immovable, and don't inhibit light, heat, or gas, but stop anything short of that.  Vis Vires can dismiss them and recreate them in any shape at a whim, and can make them razor sharp.  His fields are noticeable in air, they create a sort of shimmer, distorting colors through them.

Invincibility-Right underneath his skin, Vis Vires has a forcefield.  Unlike his others, it can be moved, and constantly changes to fit his body.  When he goes to sleep willing, it stays, but if Vis Vires loses his conscious unwilling, he loses the field.

Poise

Simulations-Poise can create simulations in her head, ranging from calculating an arc of a thrown object to how a certain town will react to Epic rule.  These simulations don't take into account her actions, so the instant Poise does something, the outcome is altered.  But even so, once the simulations get too complicated, say, involving a large number of people, the accuracy goes down.

Reaction-If Poise were to be hit, her body takes the quickest path to safety.  If someone shot her, she would drop to the ground, if someone tried to cut her with a knife, she would dodge.  It only takes in the most immediate danger, and Poise has no control over it, so it is possible to make her dodge into greater danger, or just destroy a big enough area around her.

Hmm. They're similar, but I'm not opposed to them both being in Astoria. Smasher's start at one point and then expand outwards to his desired diameter. They are always dome-like or round. Able to create force fields with up to a twenty foot radius. He can create them with himself as the center or he can create it somewhere else, but only a maximum of fifteen meters away. The force fields block all materials from entering or exiting. The force fields have a slight blueish tint.

So if you want to include Vis, I don't mind. It's up to you.

Does anyone Mind if one of the Destructors' commandos receives powers and becomes a High Epic with tensor-like powers? I just want an Epic who is actually someone who could destroy parts of Oregon. If you think this is too much for one team, I won't do it.

If someone feels like Vis is too similar, and I should pick someone else, I will, otherwise, I think I will use Vis at this point.

Welcome back Tulir. I haven't actually used Mundivore yet, so he's unaffected. And yeah, they do write a lot. I still haven't caught up.

To all my Australian friends. I have a church assignment to find one interesting fact about Australia. Do any of you have any insane suggestions?

What powerset are we talking about exactly?

I would say Vis sounds like the better option. A question to both of you forcefield useres, is there any limit to how much punishment they can take phisically?

By the way, I don´t remember who you gave her to but Parity is also still standing around in the museum.

Vis can take any amount of physical punishment, as the forcefield inside him protects him, but he is an ordinary human with regards to everything else.

I'll work on a profile for him.

Smasher's can't be broken even by Jag's strength. Maodun's spears and Smasher's force fields are going to have some interesting combinations in the Connell fight. But I'll say this, his force fields can't be punctured, but their shape can be changed with enough force. And enough force is more than a Ton of weight pressed on.

I think he means the amount of punishment the force fields can take.

Ahh.  I originally meant for them to be unbreakable by any means, but that might not be wanted.  Any thoughts on it?
