So you're not to the "Utopia" cycle yet?

Just one more day before I can grab Firefight and plunge right in. One...more...day.

My friend has only shown me episodes from seasons 5 and 6. I really like the Pandorica and Silence arcs.

Seriously? Tell your friend that a random person on the internet said that if he doesn't show you any episodes from David Tennant's run, he deserves to watch "Love and Monsters" in penance. :P

* gasp *

Now now, TwiLyght. I know you're zealous, but let's not do or say anything you might regret later... :o:P

"The Pandorica Opens" and "The Big Bang" are probably my favorite finale, though I've always loved "Army of Ghosts" and "Doomsday" (which were the first episodes I ever saw.)

As for Timeport and being the Master... well, the Master's had almost as many personalities and levels of savagery as the Doctor has. It's hard to pinpoint particular traits of the Master as a character, besides the desire to rule and dominate over others.

He's shown me Silence in the Library, but that was to explain why he was freaking out that Stephen had more than one shadow on the cover of Legion: Skin Deep :P

Desperate times call for desperate measures. :P

"Army of Ghosts" and "Doomsday" are one of the most emotionally affecting finales in the series. I loved "The Pandorica Opens" and "The Big Bang," though. I think that's one of the Eleventh Doctor's finest moments.

Not good enough.  :P

Woah. I stayed up to 1:30 last night reading. That was the Best 3 hours I've had in a long time. It was far too short. Calamity should be Stromlight Archive length. Maybe then it'd last an entire day.

What's awesome is that I don't think any of my epics need serious editing.

What's funny is that I got Firefight for my cousin as a gift, but I read it first then gave it to him. He's done the same to me. It's a beautiful relationship.

January 9th--happy birthday, Edgedancer! :D

May you write a million words, garner ten thousand upvotes, and dance a thousand edges. And all around, thanks for being born, since if you hadn't, we'd have neither your terrifying villains nor your awesome nice characters. :)

And it's one more day until TwiLyght gets to read Firefight and we get to talk spoilers with her. Or her birthday, as some call it. :P

May the upvotes follow you like iron filings after a magnet, and may your birthday bring you all the happiness of a theme park meeting a chocolate factory on Everything Is Free Day. :D

Is that what they call it? I was calling it "the day I'll be able to sit and read until I'm done, instead of making excuses to sneak a few chapters in at Walmart."

Thank you, very much Kobold and Twi. I would accompany my thank you with a picture of my birthday cake but because all of us at home are rather busy I´m not getting it until tomorrow, so we´ll all have to be patient until then. ;)

Not to sound greey but Twi as a birthday present could you approve a highly speculative theory I have after Firefight the consequences of which you would definety love?

I'll have to post a picture of my cake, too. I asked for s'mores cake.

Will I need to read Firefight to hear the theory? If so, the present will be a bit belated.

This is the first time I feel the need for my birthday cake to be at least mildly impressive.

It´s a combination of something you have already read and something from the end of the novel, so yes but you´ll love it, trust me. Not sure if only saying the result would be a spoiler. I might get a second opinion on that.

May Calamity bless you and may you enjoy many cookies!

Calamity can not bless me for my [REDACTED] (Voidus, where´s the Redacted Epic? :P) was conquered by my

(and the Spoiler one? :P) cookies only get accepted if they are low on metal. ;)

I'll finish it as soon as I can, then.

What about celebrity pairing mashup names, like Brangelina?

I'll be right back.

S'mores cake?

...

Hold me. :P

I think you'll like Edgedancer's theory. In its own way, it's just as exciting as an early Nighthound death. :P You might already know the particular spoiler he's using to base the theory, but in case you don't, I wouldn't recommend telling you the outcome.

Just trust me when I say you'd love it. ;)

Brangelina: Papparazi-Epic, can create a photographic version of anything he's seen.
REDACTED: His powers are [REDACTED]
Spoiler: His powers mimic the Fidelius charm of the Harry Potter universe, he can prevent anyone from sharing a piece of information he gives to them, if the person attempts to share the secret they will suffer a fatal heart attack.

Anyone here have a guess what Backbreaker could do to just tear through Newcago and be mentioned in the same sentence as Obliteration?

Posted (edited)

I haven't gotten to Backbreaker yet.

But there's an album called Backbreaker, where each song is about a different character from Greek mythology.

Prometheus fits the Reckoners series quite well.

He doesn´t actually appear, David only references him in chapter six.

What happens when an Epic like Backbreaker or Obliteration comes to town? Someone who can simply vaporize the entire city to get at us?

Listening now.

Seems like TvTropes got a rework.

Break backs.

All the backs. Like, he claps his hands together and the spine of anyone within five miles of him is snapped like a toothpick. His weakness is Backtrack, because Backtrack has no spine.

Sounds like the obvious answer. Thing is, the name sound like his power is anti-personel but David´s phrasing implies destructive capability similar to Obliteration, which would need a lot more than just breaking backs.

Maybe he can manipulate the tension and density of objects around him. He could use the powers on a human being to shatter an unfortunate bloke's skeleton, but he could also focus the ability and cause an entire city to crumble to its foundations as all the laws of architecture become suddenly inapplicable.

I found a picture of myself online.

Any more of this torture and I'll start an hourly countdown. :P

Aww, you´re adorable. :P

Just distract yourself, maybe make an Obliteration pony or something. ;)
