A playful pug would run far too high a risk of annoying Lightwards or one of the other Epics there. A more cuddly pug would be content to have Sam carry her around all day. Also, I accidentally upvoted your post while trying to quote it. That could have turned out way worse, eh? As do I, though I know I've heard his name before. A girl pug would be very happy if her human carried her around all day. And then Sam could give her a pink or purple ribbon, making the pug happy AND adorable. (One funny thing about pugs is that they don't like ridiculous-looking costumes, but they do like small tasteful accessories like scarves and ribbons. Whenever I give Bruno a new scarf or Mollie a new ribbon, they'll prance around showing it off to everyone. ) I will not object to how that turned out. Where I live I hear the cries of the local coyote pack at least once a month--more often once a week. We haven't yet collared any of our cats, out of the fear that the collars would snag on one of Texas' abundant twisted bushes and give the coyotes an easy snack. Besides which, we're remote enough so that cats being lost and found isn't a likely event. Also, at least one of them would probably rip your hand off if you tried.

There's a scene in the 2005(?) movie Marie Antoinette where she puts a diamond collar on her pug. The pug sits up straighter as she puts the collar on, then wags it's tail as the camera shifts away.
