I'm tempted to plead the fifth with Quota's next post, because Quota trying to impress Timeport isn't going to lower the bar for irredeemably evil. Then again, mail-mi didn't plead the fifth when Timeport did what he did (either time) so it looks like I'll have to write it.

But yes, Remington does need to start shooting. Just as soon as he learns the weaknesses of every Epic who can't die, their immortality will encounter an unexpected error. :P

(Still, though, I'm seriously tempted to just write about Sweetfrost and Icecreaminator eating ice cream all night. This….isn't going to be pretty.)

You give someone the choice between a sociopathic monster and a woman being forced to flirt with an Epic and she chooses to go and eat ice cream, who whould have thought. :P

Remember: if writing Quota's next scene makes you need counseling, we're here for you. :P

Weird, right? :P I actually had to work out several different scenarios to make Quota's next post less disturbing than the most disturbing one I could come up with.

Proposal: We appoint Samantha Trattner the Official Epic Funeral Eulogy Writer.

"We are gathered here today to pay our last respects to Quota. I don't know why we're bothering, since he didn't have a whole lot of respect for life, or basic human decency, or wearing a cloak that didn't make him look like an idiot, but tradition is tradition, so here we are. I guess now's the part where I read a Bible verse that's supposed to comfort everyone he left behind, right? Okay, let me just say that Remington and I were up all freaking night combing those pages for a verse that fits, and we finally found one. I'm pretty proud of it.

"Second Chronicles 21:20: 'He was thirty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years; and he departed with no one's regret, and they buried him in the city of David, but not in the tombs of the kings.'

"Okay, okay, I don't know if he was really thirty-two. I think he was more like 18 or 19 or so. Still, I thought the part about departing to no one's regret was appropriate."

'Cuz it's not like MV likes him or anything. :P

Möbius is far more powerful than Koschei. Granted they never actually met, but they're kind of our non-canon OTP. :P

They could meet if What Happened in Calamityville resumes in October.

headcanon: Mobius pulls people from time in a similar manner that Bringer does.  The only reason I think of it this way is so that there's possibility we can eventually see Nighthound die in there, and in Portland.

She´s perfect for the job! Make sure she holds a speech for everytime Lightwards dies. :P

"We are gathered here today to savor the few moments between Lightwards' death and resurrection. How did he die this time? Okay, this is really good. He got into a boxing match with one of his pterodactyls! Don't ask me why he'd bother boxing with something he had control over, or how he lost control of it in the first place. But seriously, he was chasing it all over the museum going 'Put up your dukes, you bald fiend!'

"Oh, sparks! He's moving. Quick, everybody, whip up some tears!"

So...I have been following this webcomic for a little while now, and I thought y'all might enjoy it. My Little Pony played as a D&D game.

Cheers!

This is awesome.

Twi, I also need to thank you for not railroading us. In gratitude I promisse to always stay in character. ;)

No problem. (I say it like I'm purposely trying not to railroad everyone, but I don't know if I could if I tried. I can't even railroad my original fiction characters. All joking aside, you guys are good writers and you've come up with much better plot points by just staying true to your characters than I could have if I'd plotted out even a handful of scenes beforehand. Why would anyone want to squash that?)

I'm….not sure if that's a promise or a threat, given that Nighthound is one of your characters. ;) Then again, you also write for Voidgaze…..

To be fair, Scorch kind of earned it by being a moron. Not that CorpseMaker was in the right for murder...but I can see where he's coming from.

Altermind agrees. :P

Saccharine's a fair bit smarter than P is though, particularly with her abilities. In terms of danger levels I'd put them about on par, Saccharine's more fragile but also more strategic so I think it more or less balances. Plus the whole increasingly unstable mentality thing with his resurrections.

What is happening with them anyways? We haven't seen them for a while.

Guys. Only three more days till Firefight. :D:)

And, out of curiosity, which of my characters do you guys like the most? And, separately, which of the Thoughttown Epics should have a POV in the next meeting segment?

I think they're still adjusting to PP's new personality?

I know! :D :D :D :D My birthday is four days after that, so I've been reminding everyone in my family so they'll get it for me. And if they don't, well, one of my coworkers got me a $25 Barnes and Noble gift card for Christmas, so I'm good.

I vote Flashpoint or Mare. We've seen the Empire characters from Altermind's less-than-impressed perspective, and I for one think it would be interesting to see how his less-evil lieutenant reacts to everything (like Sam crying; rather than seeing Nathan's nervousness as a show of weakness, he saw Nathan as something of a kindred spirit, so I'd like to see how he takes tears from someone he's supposed to see as his inferior). Alternatively, Mare is relatively uncorrupted, so her perspective could provide some foreshadowing as to her future development: does she see Altermind's callousness and Lightwards' cruelty as something to avoid, something to overcome, or something to aspire to?

As for favorites, I like Flashpoint in Portland. His earnestness is such a great foil for Altermind's villainy. I think it was his "Hi, cute girls!" reaction that won me over. In a city ruled by the cruel, the sort of thought process that leads him to see potential enemies as potential friends and someone he should revile as his equal is endearing. In The Dalles, I'd say I'm torn between Edgerunner and Frequency. Edgerunner is very human, and she clearly fights against her worst inclinations. Frequency is pure evil, but he does it in the most showman-like way possible, and his devotion to Koschei is pretty frightening.

Hmm. Mare would be interesting, since I haven't done much at all with her. I'm also just not sure what I'm doing with her. Flashpoint will have a viewpoint for sure then. Mare is definitely a gentler soul. She wouldn't like Lightwards's cruelty for sure, but callousness wouldn't be something she's opposed to, at least, not while using her powers. When she does that, she is callous and driven. Normally, though, she is quiet, but honest, kind(for an Epic), and focused.

I like Flashpoint a lot too. I began liking him once I decided that he would begin to admire the regular soldiers after the fight with the toy soldiers and now he has a lack of romance in his life and I'm liking him even more.

I can't decide in the Dalles either. Frequency is fun to write, but so is Edgerunner. I probably enjoy Edgerunner more though. Making fun of Arsenal is one of the best parts of her POVs.

Altermind thinks everyone is a moron. He could have walked away from Albert Einstein thinking about how much of an imbecile "that German guy" was.  <_<  :P

Just three more days! Three more days! Three more days! :D

On that note, you're unlikely to be seeing much of me on Jan 06.

I'm with TwiLyght in liking Flashpoint and Edgerunner the best, for all the same reasons.

Poor Maxima.

It's a shame, really. You'd think she and Quota could come to some sort of latte arrangement that doesn't play into Quota and Timeport's atrocity contest.

Why must it be one or the other? Who says Quota can't have both? :o

His conscience, namely, but if he was going to start listening to it he'd have done so already.  <_<  :P

How sad, I kind of liked her... well her design to be honest but that´s still a waste.

I did, too, but her "I want to speak to your manager" look kind of biased me against her. Still...

Hmm, that one's probably somewhat of an exaggeration, but Altermind would definitely find something about Einstein to criticize. :P

Cool! I like those two a lot too.
