Honestly, a Dalinar/someone from Roshar start is sounding pretty good… eliminating by planet may be more reliable than by powers.

You can do both, and Hoid gets all but three characters from Sel anyway, while also eliminating the vessels who would otherwise hide away from any guess.

Just remember that everyone in Yumi is invested, everyone in SLM is Threnodite, and once you do that you can eliminate

My problem with Hoid is that while he eliminates more characters than anyone else, he doesn’t eliminate any categories. If he comes up empty/just human is correct, you’ve still got every planet to check besides Yolen, which hardly has any characters.

 New strategy that I’ll be trying: Kaladin start to eliminate Roshar and the Heralds. If human, Then Sazed to eliminate Scadrial and shard vessels. If that still turns up nothing, then Shai to eliminate Sel and worldhoppers. 
 

I might experiment with Felt for Scadrial if he eliminates worldhoppers, but we’ll see if this strategy works out well first.
