Okay so as it turns out I cannot edit the spreadsheet on my phone but I am voting Araris and I will note it down when I get home

Wait what? Explanation?

Evinir Cragborn stepped through the Perpendicularity, and joined the arriving crowd. A cloak obscuring his features, he blended into the mass and moved as quickly as he could to exit the station.

The entire trip from Silverlight, he had worried they were after him. But no. It seemed his secret remained. That was good. He had hidden it for centuries.

He could hide it a while longer.

Evinir left the station, and began to wander the streets. As he walked out into the light of the sun, he closed his eyes, and brushed the flowers at his side with the tips of his fingers. With his Life Sense, granted by the many Breaths he had accumulated over the years - the same Breaths that kept him alive - he reached out and Felt each one, Felt them reach out a little as he neared.

Oh, how painful this perfection was.

His eyes opened again.

The monsters that had destroyed Silverlight might not have been after him in specific, but they still loomed. And like it or not, Evinir was one of the few in the Cosmere capable of standing up to them. His old mentor had made sure of that.

Evinir took a deep breath, and brushed the flowers one last time. Then he resumed his quick pace, and began to search for somewhere he could work from.

Killing off villagers takes longer. There’s at least 13-14. And people are gonna die anyways. And this is the most reversible. Again, killing off 4-5 Elims isn’t too hard if they all come forward

Myst is super village if elims bet on village victory. Myst is super evil if elims bet on elim victory :P.

Ohhhhh

Wait I’m sorry I just actually understood your point

I need to think about that a bit, cause it does feel somewhat odd

It also does feel to me as ruining the mystery of the game, a little, but I will acknowledge that I myself have been an advocate for systematic - if not very fun - strategies in the past

If we do do that I suggest killing off villagers, if I’m right, we’re making progress, and if I’m not we have the most time to course correct.

That said, this only works if everyone agrees with this

Okay wait nvm I’m still confused

You want to kill confirmed villagers until someone resists?

Also, I will say here that there little downside to voting out players in pseudogame whom you suspect in meta-game because you are reducing their voting power in the pseudo-game if you are right. At least makes sense in the beginning stages of the game where we have little idea where they have placed their bets.

Having said that, mippo

I do think there are instances where you are overplaying your cluelessness.

Or I’m just wrong lol

But betting on a village victory allows for Elim on Elim betrayal. What player wouldn’t want to do that? It’d be so fun. Like, I’d be fine being on the receiving end of that

It isn’t very fun, yes, which is the one downside IMO(the FFA game recently was another example of this)

Sort of?

This would require us to claim alignments, and then we know who’s Elim and who’s village and then we look at all the villagers, see who we’re most suspicious of in the meta game and exe them, or if we aren’t sure, an inactive player

Okay, now I’ve finally got it

I’m gonna say I’m opposed to the idea, just cause I feel like it’s more fun to treat this like a regular game, at least for now

Only problem is this would require an immense amount of trust, and someone's bound to lie

This... seems like the wrong way to look at it

If we just play like the normal game, then we have practically no control over the betting situation

Uh huh, but unless all the pseudo Elims are also meta Elims, they’ll know the truth, and they can counter claim, and then we’ll know one of the two are meta Elims, and there’s at least 3 pseudo Elims who will contest the lie

Ahh I get

I feel like we should at least pay this game the respect of some facsimile of reality, however, rather than just systematically getting rid of players until the meta elims are forced to do something about it

You should be able to edit the Vote Sheet if you download Google Sheets, unless something else is going on in which case we can work with you

He’s not wrong though, it’d make the pseudo game a lot less fun to play.

I feel like Hoid Slayer is supporting this strategy because it seems like it favors the outside (meta?) elim team. That being said, I still don't fully understand the rules, so if @Hoid Slayer can explain their reasoning, I'll listen.

Nahh there’s no real problem it’s just I need parental approval to download apps on my phone and it’s something of a hassle

I feel like our control over the betting situation is low no matter what, even the strategy of systematic murder only works if at some point we get together to debate whether or not to continue with the course or not, and at that point there are bound to be disagreements even between meta-villagers

It’s a small sacrifice to be made I believe for the fun of getting to functionally play two games

Speaking of actually playing the game, should we start building trains?

Damn, bro read my mind

About starting trains, not about accusing me

My reasoning is that yeah, it does kinda favor the meta elims, but I’m willing to give them a little bit of favor cause I think it’s gonna be a lot funner if we don’t all completely give up on the illusion of this game from the start

I’ve already changed my vote twice

Duhgg stepped out of Shadesmar and onto the surface.

It felt good to be on solid dirt again.

"Time to start the killing!" He said cheerfully to his comrades.

To me it seems we should start Shardworld-claiming so that there are no surprises. That way, we can keep track of who has how much Investiture.

Part of the fun of this game is playing it in this context, because we never get to play like this. I see your point, but...eh

If we’re going to do a group claim. In order to make sure it’s at least some fun, we should only claim one thing. Either shard worlds or alignments or whatever, just not both

Oh yeah. Fair. Couldn't someone technically put a false name on their doc?

This might help actually then!

Technically yes but I believe that’s frowned upon. What could also happen is someone missing the link at the bottom of their GM PM and not go in the doc.

*cough* cause that totally didn’t happen to someone in my shardworld *cough*
