asharan the truthwatcher Posted March 6 Posted March 6 In shades for silence, at a moment, deepest ones are mentionned, what are they? In an other standalone, they talk about the threnodite singing abyme (or something like that, what is it?)
Frustration Posted March 6 Posted March 6 We aren't sure, Brandon has been cryptic when he talks about Threnody.

Treamayne Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Welcome to the Shard. Please consider an Intro Post to let us know what you have or have-not read (whichever list is shorter). Hoid, or someone else says that spores seas are les deep than the abyme Tress Ch 51: Spoiler The spore seas aren’t that deep, relatively speaking. Compared, for example, to the depth of the Lilting Abyss on Threnody, the spore seas are practically ponds. But when you have to hike to the bottom—all the while being cuffed and shoved by an impatient pirate with a terminal disease—a few hundred yards can feel far, far longer. Hope that helps 1

The Deepest Ones (SPOILER for the Stormlight Archive) Spoiler ... are a type of Fused. Because of that, I doubt Brandon will do anything with the Threnodite version, to avoid confusion. 1
asharan the truthwatcher Posted March 9 Author Posted March 9 Wich books of stormlight ? What link with threnody, I know that odium went here, but... That's strange. On 3/8/2026 at 4:58 PM, Nitpicking said: SPOILER for the Stormlight Archive Wich book?

That's strange. Which book? Threnody Deepest Ones - Myth from the Forests of Hell (slight spoilers - planned to be in the "Night Brigade" Threnody Novel) Roshar Makay-im (Deepest Ones) First introduced in RoW Ch 31 No known links between the two, so far. WoB: Spoiler Questioner Is there anything you can tell me about the Deeper Ones? Brandon Sanderson About what? Questioner The Deeper Ones? Brandon Sanderson No, unfortunately. If I write the Threnody novel, they will be involved a great deal, how about that? Skyward release party (Nov. 6, 2018) Hope that helps Edited March 9 by Treamayne SPAG/Clarity 1

That helps a lot, because, now, we know that we don't know anything, unfortunately. Maybe spoilers for IotE Spoiler They are anti investiture splinters of ambition like dhakwara and evil. If they were, why threnodites would not noticed that it is close to the evil? Edited March 10 by asharan the truthwatcher 1
Treamayne Posted March 10 Posted March 10 (edited) 35 minutes ago, asharan the truthwatcher said: why threnodites would not notice Why? Because those that have seen The Evil (or know much about it) are dead - those that live in the Forests of Hell fled and survived, but don't realy know anything besides verbal stories and myth. At least that is the case while Silence ran her Waystop where the reference was sourced. Edited March 10 by Treamayne SPAG

First immigrants should have met deepest ones, and if they met them, they should link it to the evil. 1-6 type threnodite entities have the same effect, isn't it? But it could also be predators that find their victims thanks to their mind, like in sixth of the dusk. Edited March 10 by asharan the truthwatcher
