Radiants and Unoathed

Do you think Radiants could wear Unoathed Plate and wield Unoathed Blades without the deadeye screaming effect? Would it block their Surges (I'm pretty sure their own Plate doesn't)? Does anything change once they reach 3rd Ideal? 4th? 5th?

Personally, I think they could, but I don't think their spren would like it. I also think Unoathed Plate would block their Surges. I also have 0 evidence for this.

I think that it wouldn't scream, at the very least, considering that the Unoathed spren have been kinda un deaded and realived ish

My least favorite part of the MCU is how often they undead and realive people.

I don't know if Unoathed Plate would block their Surges. Does someone else's Plate on you block your surges?

Yes, It does. It has to do identity, and keying, and investiture restitance. But both living and dead plate block other's surges. The question is if Unoathed bond with you enough to get around that and attune to you.

But can a Radiant form an Unoathed Bond while still keeping their living bond? Do we have a WoB?

no WOB, I would guess so. The Unoathed don't really have much in the way of "bonds". The Blades/Plate kinda just appeared in the PR from the CR without any bonding necessary

No reason why not. You can bond two radiant spren.

They totally do though. We see there's a bond between dead shards and their holder (the energy in the gem), and a bond between Maya and Adolin is undeniable.

the dead shard bond you talk about a) takes a week to form and b) is found only with Blades, not Plate. Plus the Unoathed we see didn't take a week to bond their blades/plate, and the Maya/Adolin bond isn't necessary to be an Unoathed, as evidenced by the other 9 Unoathed, including a literal spren.

The whole point of the Unoathed is not to be bonded. Hence the name.

That way they can lend their Radiant power to anyone they choose, not just for one person, and still maintain their freedom. So yes they could join with another Radiant and be just fine. Deadeye Blades are always screaming, even when a non-Radiant is wielding them, the person simply isn't Invested enough to hear it. Deadeyes are essentially fixed now though, no longer screaming in pain.

a few minor corrections: they don't have Radiant power, they're just living Plate/Blade. I agree that I don't think they'd scream, because they're living, but I'd be interested to hear if you think that Unoathed Plate would block the Surges of a Radiant wearing it.

Most definitely, just like how wearing the plate of another Radiant would block surges, see the Windrunner in the starfall visions having to have the stoneward dismiss their helmet to lash them.
