Using the crimson and Verdent spores, he’s going to first use some verdant spores to make a straight-ish vine, then he’s going to use a few crimson to make a sharp point. Then, he’s going to add a bit more water to the verdant vine, so that one end warps itself over part of the crimson spike

Hopefully this makes some Javelin like things that it touch blood or water, kinda explode with spikes and vines, he’ll have to be careful about this. Maybe it’ll backfire at some point. I hope it doesn’t rain.

Basically, he’s got himself a semi-defendable location and is currently making throwing spears/daggers depending on how long each part is

He’s mostly successful, though he spills water, just barely.

The resulting spikes tear away, and one of his spore vials is broken by a stray spike. Additionally, he gets a small cut, starting to bleed. The wound is not serious. He does end up with a few “daggers”, though they are slightly longer than that.

Lemme see what supplies you had, then I’ll get back to you with specifics. Also, are you using all your Verdant & Crimson?

Jace rips off a piece of his shirt and tries to block the blood, he doesn’t want any of it getting on the spores

Spoiler

He’s using 2 vials of each, so most of it. Also, which vile broke?

Cool.

He makes eight daggers. The vial that was broken was sunlight, causing a small, harmless explosion as it fell against the ground.

He used a good amount of water - about a fourth of his supplies..

Jace stares at the place where the sunlight spores fell, shocked. He looks to see if any of the spores are salvageable, and if they are he swallows them.

Edit:

Overall, though, that went better than I thought it would

NAME: Caerin Zivale (pronounced K - rin)

GENDER: Female. She/Her.

AGE (12-18): 17

SKILLS: She can whistle very well, she's gone fishing quite a few times, she's gotten good at braiding hair in complicated ways from the time before she cut it short, and she was apprenticed in medicinal practices.

BACKGROUND: Her uncle raised Caerin and her half-brother, Ayon, who is nine years younger than her. They share a father. Caerin's father (her uncle's brother) is often traveling the seas, and he didn't want to bring his two children with him and his crew on his own ship, otherwise they wouldn't receive proper education and, of course, he believed the risk of spores was too dangerous for them. As for Caerin's mother, she has been in prison for seven years, and Ayon's mother died in the civil war. Their father was there when Ayon's mother was killed. Their father's brother was more than willing to raise the two kids, and he has done so since Caerin was ten and Ayon was an infant. The first ten years of Caerin's childhood was spent with her mother, who taught her pottery on the Zephyr Islands (or other equivalent? I see we aren't on Lumar). She has since forgotten it. Her mother was imprisoned after the Civil War. Caerin's uncle located her after her mother was imprisoned, and united her with the baby, Ayon. They have spent the last seven years with their uncle, who has tried to teach them--specifically, Caerin, a child of the revolution--the art of nonviolence and passivity. It isn't going well. Caerin has been trained in medicine simply because her uncle was, and he had nothing better to teach her. They get along fine, but Caerin often wonders if, or wishes that, she has better places to be. Watching the Civil War tear her life apart has changed her view of permanence, and she's learned to avoid hurt by never letting others see her vulnerabilities, and never letting connections or companions get too close. She's made a few more enemies than friends, but has a few good ones out there. All her strength comes from fights or disputes with others and wrestling her uncle's large dogs off of her young brother. She believes her mother is wrongfully in prison, and will never forget the Civil War, even as her uncle continues to try to teach her how to regulate herself. Despite all this, what traumatizes her most of her childhood was that moment when she tried to impress someone by striking a match with one hand, but failed and instead dropped the matchbox on the ground, with all the matches spilling out. Other than that, she has appreciated what she has to call home and who she has to call family. She does not appreciate the dogs for constantly attacking Ayon.

WORST FEAR: Crying in front of someone else.

FAVORITE COLOR: Dark Green.

OTHER: She's not very good at dancing. She likes seagulls. She is intrigued by deadrunners. She's skeptical of lunar worship. (/idk how much of this works bc we're not on Lunar so you can just ignore it)

SKILLS: Slightly experienced with spores, although primarily for mundane uses - how sunlight spores are used for cooking for instance, and she grew verdant spores a few times. Is good at math (ik reallll helpful here!) and carving wood. She is also very quiet.

BACKGROUND: Lived in the Sapphire sea equivalent up until the Civil War, when her family had to flee from their home to try to stay safe. Her mother died in the war. Avaih, her father, and her younger sister ended up in the Verdant Sea, and she hasn't been back to the Sapphire Sea since. Until she was Reaped, she worked as an accountant. She is very quiet, and has been since the Civil War, only talking if its important / necessary to speak to someone or to her sister.

WORST FEAR: Disappointing those she cares about

FAVORITE COLOR: The same shade of blue as zephyr spores (bc Sapphire Sea)

You rise from a tube in the middle of a wasteland. Around you are many others. Together, you all form a circle.

At the center of the circle is a pile of supplies, though from here you cannot tell specifics.

A loud sound rang through the arena, followed by a booming voice. “LET THE QUELL BEGIN."

Jackson ran in toward the center, aiming to avoid others as much as possible. Get a weapon, get some supplies, and get out.

Rane grinned savagely, gripping the spear and hefting it. There was survival gear too, which he stuffed in his pockets. Moons, the wind was beautiful. So was this place, oddly. A wasteland, to be sure. But beautiful, in its own way.

He tensed, suddenly, seeing another figure sprinting across the field. Another tribute. And there was a third, in some sort of spore fortifications. That would be tough to crack.

He crossed the supply dump, circling around the fortifications carefully. Deal with the unarmed one first hopefully.

Jackson caught a flaah of silver feom the side and ducked. He heard a whistle as a dagger flew over him before thunking to the dirt some distance away. He looked over to see the one who had thrown it quickly hiding from a man holding a spear. He seemed to be enjoying the chase he had begun.

For a moment Jackson eyed the spear, debating trying to attack the man and take it for his own. But no, sword against spear would mean death on such even terms, and risk a knife in the back meanwhile. So he turned and sprinted away toward the woods, sword held to the side, ready to use if need be.

[I assume there are woods nearby. That was mentioned earlier, eight.]

Stylan sprints to the closest item, a small satchel, picks it up and runs south, paying no attention to the others.

He had the supplies from the six slings, although it was practically impossible for him to carry them all. There were also various weapons. There were no swords, hammers, or bows.

Rayer took two slings and bolted in the direction of the sun
