Through The Living Ash he/him Posted November 21, 2025 Posted November 21, 2025 Ash thought he had it all figured out. The writing. It needed to be 3-D. That way, one could literally read above or into the layers, meant to be read concurrently so as to provide multiple meanings at the same time. But how could that be created? Ash found a spinny chair and sat in it. Because spinny chairs are the best. Hmmm. Maybe it could be a cylinder, where the writing immediately to different radials revolving around the cylinder were the depth element. Then, he thought, if it was coiled, you wouldn't necessarily need an extremely long cylinder. Heck, you could even still make it out of paper. It was at this moment that Ash realized he had just described a scroll. Wait: better idea. Sinusoidal paper. And the writing would just have to be changed to run top-to-bottom. Or, actually it wouldn't, but it would look better if it did. Ash noted that he was particularly more logical this morning. The cat had helped. So had sleep. He continued to stare at empty space, oblivious to what was happening around him.

"I, too, love spiny chairs. They sure are amazing." Ash disagreed. He said so, rather loudly. If a chair was spiny, it would likely hurt to sit on, and the primary function of a chair being either that of a comfortable seat or an elevated seat, that would detract greatly from the value of the chair. Of course, that was just him being clever with Coder's mispronunciation, and also because he liked arguing. He didn't need to follow normal structures, he presumed, if it still made sense. That was, he thought, a fallacy of language. To prove his point, Ash conjured up a spiny chair and sat in it. It hurt.

This tended to be how such things went. Also, Ash mentions to Kansas, assuming he is nearby, purple is a goated color.
