How do you earn reputation points?

by "repping" someone's post, aka hitting the heart-shaped button. the more this happens, the more rep you have. different levels of rep correspond with different little yellow titles (I forgord what they're called). also, I guarantee that @Hawks misspells more than you do.

im sad, i only have 10 rep points 😭

Please don't worry about rep, it's not a competition. You're very new here, and thus it's natural for you to not have a ton of rep, and rep really doesn't matter that much xD
Also, please avoid double posting twice in a row, as it's against our Forum Policies

From the Sharder FAQ:

REACTIONS (a.k.a. Reputation (Rep), Likes, Upvotes, etc.)

  Hide contents
  • The Heart Icon (Like) is how you thank people or "like" a post
    • Likes, Mentions and Quotes should all send an alert to the appropriate person (if they have that turned on) - even when added to an old post through the Edit feature.
    • Current Limit is 20 per 24-hour period
    • Formerly an "up arrow" in case you see that referenced in older threads
  • The reasons and why somebody uses this tool for any given post are as varied as the number of people on the Shard
  • Reputation is based on these reactions, upon which your "Rank" is based - which is really just a fun in-joke of Sanderson references that you can achieve.

Hope that helps

Sorry 😅

No worries! Ain't a big deal. I'd recommend reading through the policies and code of conduct though, as I'd recommend all new people do
