Charlie shifted a bit behind Jynx and put their hand on their sword hilt. Coder seemed nice enough, so why was Jynx so wary?

[I don't really have a specific way in mind. You can wait for a mortal to initiate contact (or have your own do it. If you don't want Kaijsa to be the one doing it, you can always make as many mortal characters as you want). I do also have a plotline coming up that should make all of them more relevant. ]

Charlie relaxed a bit. Looked like Jynx wasn't any more on edge than normal with new people. They forgot sometimes how long it had taken them to get on Jynx's good side. They took another sip from their flask and smirked to themselves. They were pretty sure even Jynx hadn't figured out it was just tea.

Tharan woke up, yawned, stretched, and looked around. He didn't normally sleep this late, but he was tired from...hm. What had he been doing the night before? He shook his head. It probably wasn't important if he couldn't remember it. He rolled out of bed—and was still dressed. Huh. Well, no use wondering, he had work to do. He grabbed an apple, threw on the duster that he liked because he thought it made him look cool, and walked out the door.

The streets of Yttria were surprisingly empty for this time of day, but he supposed there was some event happening that he had simply forgotten. That seemed to be happening a lot today. He set off down the street, making his way to the city center.
