I came up with those numbers on the spot, I don’t know a ton about sunlight spores. I’m assuming you’ve read Tress?

Yeah, they only mention sunlight spores a few times though, for cooking and flares. I’ll go find where.

If you’re willing to suggest a good temperature, I’d appreciate that

I’m not sure of an exact temperature, but I imagined it as being similar to having a drink of hot chocolate, if that makes sense. In temperature, that’s maybe around a 1 or 2 C change(I think, Celsius isn’t what I normally use)

Me neither lol

1 per spore should be fine

Did you edit the sheet?

NAME: Jace Dim

GENDER: Male

AGE (12-18): 18

SKILLS: Knows a lot about spores, specifically what happens if you eat them. Generally street smart as well, knows who to talk to to get stuff

BACKGROUND: Child of a sprouter, introduced to spores at a young age, ended up swallowing some and like it. As of now, he is currently addicted to sunlight spores and the warmth it gives.

WORST FEAR: Not being able to get Sunlight spores

FAVORITE COLOR: Green

OTHER: the addiction has side effects. Constant use has resulted in slight burns on his tongue and throat. The light given off through the spores seeps out of his stomach through the path of least resistance, through his mouth, back of eyes , ears, ect… and so his eyes have lost their dark vision due to the rods being unfunctional due to over-exposure.

We’re generally going against spore eating because of how OP it can be.. the GMs will confer and get back to you, but be ready to adjust

I’m not suggesting that the character is a host for the Aether, if that’s problem. Otherwise, yeah, I understand, I’ll be ready to change if you need me to

The main issues we saw with sporeeaters were either never going to die, or they would die too quickly

Ah, that makes sense

@Spark of Hope

@IHadAThought

Keep in mind though, that spores in small quantities (say a few mL or smt) are used to cook food.

Pseudo Maths:

Spoiler

Saying that a mL of spores is enough to boil water

And given that a single spore is around the normal size

A single mL is ~0.33x10^8 spores

So…

Haven't read Tress lol

Hm...

@IHadAThought you're good imo, just as long as your consumption of the spores you find stays relegated to a pseudo-comedic type of thing, and isn’t weaponized

Yeah, I don’t plan on doing anything like that, don’t worry

Isn't killing us the whole point? You could make them all spore-eaters and there just be no water.

The point is to have you kill each other, not die on your own

Ok, yeah. But that would provide incentive to kill each other, maybe have each person have a pack of water on them to up that incentive. Or instead of spore eaters, they could be aetherbound.

I fear, We don't know enough about aetherbound to do that.

From what I read on the copper mind suggested that they were spore-eaters with control over what they could do, but since they weren't host to aggressive aethers such as the Lumarian ones, they weren't capable of feats such as the ones flaunted by Captain Crow, and they weren't slowly dieing either.

With enough Investiture though...

Do you remember what TwinSoul did in TLM?
