So, let's be honest, Egwene wins most likely to turn to shadow of our main characters. I don't about y'all, but I just feel like her character would be more likable and fascinating if she did turn to the dark and maybe b4 the very end turn back. U can't be that ambitious (and stupid) and overbearing and not be tempted

I’d argue that Mat was most likely to court the shadow out of our main cast. Mat betrays Rand in tons of other mirrors of the wheel, as evidenced by the aftermath of the whole flicker flicker flicker business. Eggy seems super on board with the Aes Sedai the entire time.

I would’ve liked Eggy more if she killed Elayne.

I think Mat is more likely to turn, there are plenty of timelines where he doesn't fully recover from holding the knife. Also, Elayne and Siuan both meet at least the same levels of ambitious, stupid, and overbearing, so your argument would have to include them as well. I don't like the go to shadow and come back trope, especially when we have a character literally die to come back. I'm actually a big fan of Egwene, I think she's easily the best of the female main characters. Mat is my favorite of the guys.

Yeah I've seen this before but I cannot see Egwene turning to the Shadow.

This'll prob be controversial but if the Shadow pulled some stunt involving Faile on Perrin, would Perrin turn to the Shadow to save Faile? Bc he literally says in places during the Faile Is Captured By Shaido plotline that if Tarmon'Gaidon happened while he was rescuing Faile it'd just have to happen without him even though he knows he has to be there because he isn't abandoning Faile. So Mat pre-dagger uncertainty, but Perrin afterwards for me bc after the dagger's gone Mat is not turning to the Shadow.

see the problem with Mat turning to the Shadow is it destroys his character arc. Of all the characters, Mat is the least ambitious following the dagger incident (besides maybe Perrin), he has sheer stubborn loyalty.

I could absolutely see that happening, but it depends on the specific trick, i think.
