It would be fine if u were just like 'oh yeah i dont really like ebooks but thats fine' but instead YOU SAID THAT THEY DON'T COUNT AS BOOKS!

BC THEY ARENT. THEYRE EBOOKS. DIFFERENT THING.

Books are something you can smell, flip the pages, open it again and again until you can’t read the title on the spine anymore. They have the stains from the tea or coffee you inevitably spill on the cover. They have jackets that you leave on the shelf so you don’t crease them. They have tear stains in the sad pages. They have all the notes from your grandmother and great grandmother.

THEY ARE NOT THE SAME.

While this probably doesn't count as an addiction, it's close enough. Every time I eat seaweed outside during recess at school, I ALWAYS toss the nonedible oxygen packet thing on the ground and throw away the container/packaging. Can't explain why I do it, it's just tradicion now.

huh

That is an incorrect statement. Books are magical things that you open and are thrust in a world you’ve never seen before or wish to revisit. The book can be fancy, or drab. It could be $100 or as cheap as can be. Nothing about the book matters once you get absorbed into its pages. It all fades away once you snuggle up in bed. I understand that you may dislike them electronically, but those are the basic requirements for a book. What you described above is a subset of books that you believe is the only type. I do not discriminate anything about books, I just read. You described a physical book not all books. After all, it is an EBook/Webnovel

You are under handing your own argument. You say that books have  PAGES. Ebooks don’t. They have a screen. Plus, reading paper books is good for your brain no matter how long you do it.
Ebooks and webnovels on a screen, and thus slowly damage your brain and eyes.
I do understand that they have their place, and are sometimes more convenient due to compactness and ease of holding them.
I do not believe that ebooks do not count as books or novels, I just think that it’s an important distinction.

BOOKS belong with you in the couch in front of the fire with a cup of tea.
EBOOKS are great for when one has limited storage or when one can only use one hand.

I don’t think they are bad. I think that they have a place. As do other books.
Such as audiobooks. I think they count to. But they also have a place.

It is well worth it to do the proper way of things.

Ebooks do in fact have pages. Just not in the traditional way.
Not all screens damage your eyes to that extent. Most kindles have a special screen that makes reading them at night less bad for your eyes.
So you agree with me, then. Ebooks are also books.

Sadly, I have to disagree. I see no reason why you can't be chilling on the couch, kindle in hand. Sure, they might not be 'as good' as physical books, but the thing is, they are books. When I pick up my kindle, I'm not like, 'oh time to go read all my Ebooks'.

I feel like you are trying to agree with me and dissagree at the same time.

Yes, different kinds of pages. With pros and cons of they’re own.
And yes I do agree with you in that area. Ebooks are a TYPE of book.

I already admitted that an ebook or kindle could and can be more convenient and/or more enjoyable for some people. What I am saying is that I am not that person.

Though for the record I do say ebooks and books very specifically, as they are different things.

I am also agreeing with you and disagreeing with you. You are correct. However, I separate each point.
Overall, I do mostly agree, even if there are a few things that I don’t.
