Behind a false side of the briefcase, he lays the face down carefully, and closes the briefcase. Underneath the face was nothing whatsoever, a black void that you could get lost in. He could still see though, that always confused him. After seeing that small dragon thing, his suspicions were confirmed. There were others like him here. He then poured some chips in his face and turned on the TV.

She shook her head as she was lowered into the pool. "What? No, I got these," she weakly kicked her legs in the water to demonstrate, "when I came in here. I used to have a tail? Like, for swimming?" She looked at Aria, hoping for some recognition of the concept.

She frowned. "I'm not a mutant! I'm normal. You all are weird, balancing on those things. And there's no water around, either! Except for this, I guess." She kicked her legs despondently, disrupting the surface of the pool. "It feels weird having nothing around me. And breathing, too. There's no resistance to it."

One might get the impression the she was the talkative type. At least now she didn't seem quite as rattled as she had a moment ago.

“There’s not much water outside of this place, either,” Aria said. “Unless you were in a lab? But to not be a mutant…this makes no sense. Any chance you’re crazy?”

After watching TV for a couple hours, which he could somehow do despite having no face, he decided to get to work on the papers the receptionist gave to him.

He got up, stretched and walked over to where he had laid them on the table. Surprisingly, they were gone. He looked around, and just caught a glimpse of them disappearing under the door. He froze for a second, then slowly walked over to the door and opened it.

Again, he just got a glimpse of it going up the stairs. He started to run after it, but stopped, rushed back and put on his face, then ran back out and up the stairs. This time he didn't care to clap, as it was faster to jump up 3 at a time.

He soon emerged into a small-ish room with a pool it it, and three women and an old man. 

"Uh, hi, have any of you seen any, uh, papers? Maybe on the ground?"
