She gasped softly. So this was how far they’d go to make her a monster.

The goblins, once short of stature, were towering figures. One hefted a body, though the others seemed content to attack which their bare hands.

These… these weren’t the living creatures she’d fought before. These were abominations that shouldn’t exist. She would fight them.

The first charged, steady feet crushing bodies beneath it. It swiped a hand at her.

There was no exit, yet. Her next slice traveled through the body of the ogre and cut it in two.

It was dead, but there were two more. The one wielding a body approached.

She moved quickly around it and slashed at its back.

For a moment she stood there silent. Then she knelt for a few seconds in respect to the fallen. Finally she turned and walked through the door. There must have been some dust in Trinn’s eyes.
