CoderDrag0n8 He/They Posted July 11, 2025 Posted July 11, 2025 Cultivation sees the supernova flying towards his planet. This would be much better than initially thought. He goes to block the supernova, but doesn't block it fully. His planet is ravaged. It is intact, and he kept deaths from occuring, but that is all part of his plan. I will have the Final Story.

Sort out like all the details of your planet (again, if you have one). It will take me a few days to get the next phase ready, so expect a wait. Quote Let’s see… Magic system is pending - I have an idea, but it needs some in-world time to manifest, considering that Layke (and maybe Eloh) are the only sentient beings who have actually set foot on the planet. Since Invention doesn’t have anything to protect, he’s probably directing Investiture and matter somewhere he can use them for something later (and helping Cultivation). Bit is orbiting around Alor, at L3 from the white dwarf that doesn’t have an name yet, it’s about the size of Yolen (though a bit denser from the solid Investiture), it spins with an orbital period similar to Yolen’s - almost zero orbital tilt; currently the surface (and the rest, honestly) is a mix of rock, water, and dust; there’s a fairly high Laykium concentration at the core and a little higher and at the surface, and it has no occupants at the moment.

They’ll have different magic systems, though Invention and Cultivation will probably be involved, to differing degrees, in both (like Ashyn and Roshar having different systems). It’s .8 and 12, according to the astronomy thread. 78 Jupiter masses is a full-on star, I think.

You can always call out your name if you wish the directions. @..... “Thank you,” Encephelous thought back “I will do that in the future.” To himself he wondered if any of the scholars he once knew were still alive he guessed not though. On 7/8/2025 at 10:50 AM, Ashkaloda said: "That is to be expected. What is also expected, however, is that you should swear to secrecy upon what I may next say to you." As Anibelmeth interacted with Encephelous, she realised that she had been too focused on the other Shards, but there were some mortals who could become major players as well. She would have to watch for that. In the back of her mind, she felt another Shard trying to contact her. Was it... Whimsy? She turned her attention back to the greater cosmere and- WHAT? Shock, then rage, rippled through Mercy. Virtuosity's star was going to go supernova? That... that would cause mass destruction across the cosmere, most certainly kill her own people if nothing was done about it. Why was it doing this? There was no art in this, only devastation. That monster. And no matter what outcome came of this, her plans would be thrown into disarray. As she calmed, Anibelmeth looked to see why Whimsy had reached out to her, and saw. The other Shards were aligning against Virtuosity. Internally, she was chastened. She was supposed to be good to her people, protect and guide them, but she had been weak, distracted by the hurts Virtuosity had caused and her own failings, not realising the outcome of its plans. That would not happen again. And so, Anibelmeth searched the threads of the future, looking for what she might do. Two obvious options presented themselves to her. One, she could join with the others. They wanted to reason with Virtuosity, but that would never work. You could not reason with one who was willing to cause so much destruction at great personal expense, against, even, the Intent of the Shard. She would have to convince them to strike at Virtuosity, now, before the star exploded. She looked, and she saw many futures where this succeeded, although there was still a chance of failure. Assuming a success, this would effectively eliminate one of the more threatening Shards and put her closer to Valor. She rebelled at the thought of working with Whimsy, but the power urged her to see he was trying, and, remembering the last time, she decided to heed its advice. She suspected that Honor might join them as well, and Autonomy was sure to follow whatever Honor did. The other possibility was to blanket her system, shield it from the supernova. This had much less of a risk to her people, but she may alienate herself from the other Shards. Virtuosity would be greatly weakened by its actions and almost certainly finished off by one of the other Shards, if not herself. As she weighed both options, Anibelmeth eventually came to a conclusion. She had to do that which was best for the people. All the people, not just her own. And so, leaving an aspect of herself to speak with Encephelous, she appeared before Whimsy and Invention. @Denisimo @Dragonheir "I will join you. But the plan needs to change." “Yes, I will swear to secrecy however would you also mind telling me the current state of the Cosmere as I seem to be mostly ignorant and don’t like surprises” Quote Sorry this took so long.
