Through the Living Hope Posted May 5, 2025 Posted May 5, 2025 (edited) Quote Reminder that at the start RPing will just be with me and will be opened up to each other later on @THE DEMON "X-249, stand." Will E. had just been beat practically to a pulp by several security guards as part of this study. Ever since they'd taken him they'd been giving him surgeries and drugs, trying to increase his resistance to pain. He was full of pain. However, he was able to stand. @IcedOutPenguin The drugs began to wear off. Ytis awoke from his surgery, and there were now five gills on each side of thier neck. Some kind of machinery had been installed to turn water into breathable oxygen. A scientist watched them, with a cold expression on his face. @SpiritOfWrath The needle left Arosti's arm, now empty. Chloroplasts had just been injected into his bloodstream, and were now going to spread throughout his whole body. A scientist watched him, a cold expression on her face. @Ancient Elantrian X-778 awakened. A scientist wrote on her clipboard. 36 hours. @Wyver Vtras woke up. She felt off. While she slept, her skin had been replaced with malleable plastic, though she had maintained her form. @FRENZEE Wellington stood before a tunnel less than half as tall as him. A scientist had instructed him to go through without crawling. But that was impossible. @RoyalBeeMage Null was told by a scientist to enter the walk in freezer. It was full of frozen meat. @Dragonheir Will A. sat in a room with puzzles on a table in front of him. Across the table from him sat a scientist. She had a cold expression on her face. @strmblsd Eric's harness fell off him. He had been lowered into a small room with no doors. He knew they wanted him to try to get out. @Axehound Erick was attached to a machine by the scientist he'd known the longest. There was no warmth to her. She stuck his hands each on motors. @Mag (when you have time) Jules woke from the surgery. Something felt wrong. She looked at her hand, where a few scales had appeared. They had altered her DNA while she slept. @DAVEY Jeff was lowered into a room with a large door. It was locked, but it had a keyhole. @BUTTER_BENJI_64 A plexiglass divider was placed between Benji and his hamster. "Get that penny on this side," a scientist instructed with a cold tone. She tried focusing on the bird- closing her eyes and fixing its image in her mind, willing her body to be like that of the bird. She opened her eyes. Did the world get bigger? Or... she held up her hand in front of her- but it was a wing! She made a bird-y gasp, and the Scientist looked pleased.

Though she could shapeshift, she didn't get the innate knowledge of flight. She eventually, after maybe 10 minutes of practicing, found out that there was a way. She found out how use the little AC unit in the wall as a breeze to glide upon, and to angle her wings in such a way that she flew. "Good enough?" She squawked.
